I've read everything and still don't understand how they determine these scores. I sing on in the morning and on my avatar I have 92 coming out my nose. During the day I can post 3 new hubs, visit a few forums, drive home, login and my nose is now dripping an 84. How do they calculate this number and should I even care. I keep expecting to login in one day and I'm at 46. Worse than the stock market!
It fluctuates based on a lot of factors, which is why it's hard to understand. It considers stuff like word count and construction of hubs (ratios of text to videos and images, presence of links, link relevance to key terms... etc.); it considers traffic and searching; there's the thumbs up and thumbs down thing of readers... I think it counts how long people stay on it when the do click. Lots of stuff. There's a decent explanation of it in the help screen, here:
It gets worse....mine has mood swings too!!! From 98 down to 92 all within the scope of a week.... I've just given up on it!
Yeah, don't worry about it. Just write, have fun, make quality hubs and the score will take care of itself.

Hello folksI only produced a couple of Hubs the other day, and I've been delighted by the friendly feedback. I've discovered that my profile score is 81. What does this mean? Is it good?I know I should probably search the faqs to find out, but this is a much more sociable way of asking. Thanks in...
