Graphic Novel Reviews Part 1: House of M

This particular graphic novel is one of the first that I have read. It also is the first of a eight book series (Nine if you include the prelude). But, from then on, I knew I loved graphic novels a whole lot more than short comic books. Not only are they longer but you're alright if it has a cliff hanger at the end because it has already given you so much.

House of M is not just a X-Men book as you can see in the picture it incorporates the avengers as well as other characters from the marvel universe that some people might not recognize. It is however a X-Men problem that arises from one particular person. And, a difficult decision has to be made.

What I really enjoyed about this graphic novel is that it's a kind of alternate universe story. In which you see so many of your favorite characters in totally different perspective. And, the artwork is impeccable as well as the dialogue.

A Little Bit of the Plot

The Mutant and Avenger, Scarlett Witch becomes unstable. Her powers to control reality becomes a threat to the world. And the X-Men and Avengers try to decide what to do with her. But, in a blink of an eye the reality as they know it changes and only one man remembers the truth. Can you guess who that may be?

More House of M

There are several more House of M novels that I haven't had the chance to read yet. But, I'm sure they're just as good. I listed some them below so you can browse for them as well. Let me know if you have read this particular House of M by leaving a comment or taking the poll below.

First of Several Graphic Novel Reviews

This the first of graphic novel reviews that I'll be doing. And, also the only Marvel one that I have to do until I buy some more. I have several DC novels reviewed already which is linked below.

Concentrating on a prominent group like the Fantastic Four and possibly others.

Mutants in the MCU

Going over this book again it made me think of how the MCU is doing.

Since mutants have started to come to the MCU already. I'm hoping that some of their interactions are going to flourish like they did in this book. We all know the standard for marvel stuff has declined but if they could bring the x-men in and actually do it well. We'll have some great stuff ahead.

I may be wrong, but I think the first X-Men character that has made it to the MCU might be Beast. Because of the Marvels after credit scene. What I'm really hoping for is that Rogue gets her permanent powers like Flight and strength from Captain Marvel like she has previously when she went by Ms. Marvel. The only problem I see happening is if they do the same as the others and put too much focus on wolverine and don't dive into all the other X-Men.
