    How to recycle kitchen appliances

    Old appliances (blenders, food processors, etc.) eventually wear out, but they're made typically of a mix of plastic and metal. How do you recycle them, or at least most of them? Throwing them away feels wrong.

    Locate a recycling center in your area that accepts small household appliances. You can find a recycling center near you by conducting a quick search online at Earth911. Type in a specific household appliance you're willing to recycle in the "Find Recycling Centers For" box and type in your zip, address, city or state in the "Near" box. Click the "Search" button for results.
