Does anyone know the name of this annual cut flower?

Although fall frost is here, it's still alive and thriving, when my other annual cut flowers, my marigolds and morning glories, had sadly bit the dust, not too long ago.  I love these flowers!

I can't quite tell from the photo, but it looks a bit like celosia, which I've seen with maroon, yellow, gold or pinkish blooms.

Thanks Jill. I wish I had a better photo, since I don't have a digital camera... yet. It's really pretty.

Is the bloom sort of feathery looking but the stem is thick and strong?

Yes. It looks feathery, the stems do look thick and strong. They haven't wilted at all.
