   Stay at home mom with no transportation and no babysitters,,, how can I create an income?
   
   My husband and I are seriously struggling with money. I need some advice. Nothing I have found online is legit.....

   Create a business online around your passion in life, could be a hobby, could be a simple interest, start from there and you will find inspiration and motivation to run with the business.
   
   There is really no plug and play business schemes online that work literally overnight, it all takes hard work, much like a dull job offline.

   (1)  How are your photography skills?
   Submit work to www.istockphoto.com
   Hint: outdoor natural lighting usually make the best lighting for easy shots
   Hint: do not show any brand names or logos
   Hint: stage photos for seasons, upcoming holidays
                         football, fall, veteran's day (patriotism), thanksgiving, etc. 
   
   You can make the kids your subject matter & "play"
   
   (2)  Babysit -- watch someone else's kids in your home.  You're already there watching your own.  Often, having other children (non-sibling) helps YOU because they play together.  If you incorporate any kind of education into it (phonics awareness, colors, pattern logic) you can charge a bit more.
   
   (3) Hub pages.
   
   (4) What computer skills do you have?  Software?   Are you good with a spreadsheet?  Quickbooks?  Perhaps you could do bookkeeping from home.  A lot of small business owners cannot afford to hire an employee but would be willing to pay someone $10-15 an hour to manage the books 5 hours a week. 
   
   (5) What is your passion?  Interests?  Answer that, and perhaps you can find a way to create a website around it.  There are many valid ways to build a money-earning site, but it takes time.

   You are not alone in this struggle for money. I talk to people almost daily about this very topic.
   
   I will start by saying that you should very seriously look at the Internet for income. That is not to say that it is easy, it's not. But it is not difficult either.
   
   As with anything it takes time to build a business. With the Internet it could take you several months to become an "overnight success".
   
   First you need something to sell.
   
   I know that sounds stupid, and your probably thinking what can I sell?
   
   I feel that you would be surprised at what you may have locked away in your head. Knowledge is the biggest seller online these days. That stands to reason because the Internet is a place for information transfer.
   
   To cut straight to the chase you can write a simple How-To E-book and then promote and sell it online. You can actually do this with very little expense.
   
   Then as you gain more income and have some spending money you can then expand to a better website.
   
   The key here is INFORMATION.  As with anything it needs to be good but it only needs to provide what you promise your potential reader.
   
   If you think you are capable of or knowledgeable enough about anything ot make money from it, THINK AGAIN...
   
   You only need to know more than the person you are teaching.

   The advice you've been given so far is really good so I don't have a lot to add, but I'm not surprised that you've had bad experiences looking for work online. That happened to me too before I set myself up as a freelance writer.
   
   You obviously already do HubPages, but have you thought about trying to expand your writing elsewhere? I freelance for a fair few websites outside of HubPages and I'd be happy to pass on the details for the websites that I use to snag jobs (contact me through HP if that's something you're interested in).

   It's very hard to find work at home that is legit. I am looking too. There is a company called West Corporation and hey are hiring, if I'm not mistaken for customer service representatives. Basically, people call you for their cable issues, you look it up and tell them how to fix the problem. I tried applying there but didn't have enough Customer service experience to get on with them.

   Try job boards online such as www.hotjobs.com and www.snagajob.com
   
   This is where I search often.
   
   Word of mouth is key: Ask around to everyone you know if they know of any work.
   
   I heard of West through a friend of a friend.
   
   Also, writing could get you a few extra bucks in your hand. A lot of blogging sites are looking for fresh writers who aren't published yet as well as magazine companies.

   I would look at things like eBay.  A person can make a real good income from eBay.  You just have to develop a good business plan and it is truely a stay at home type of business.  You have to go to eBay and see what others are doing and research it.  It will take time to build.
   
   You may also want to try online surveys and you can make 200 to 300 per month but the time put in to pay is less than minimum wage.  It also can put a lot of bad crap on your computer.
   
   The third is to find something part time out of the home but to be able to have your child(ren) have child care whether it is a relative friend or some sort of public system.  If you do this,  you can earn extra money.
   
   The 4th is to start some sort of business that will allow you to be with your child.  Lets say like a emergency courier service.  You could advertise for free on Craigslist and companies pay good money to have people deliver things in an emergency.
   
   I know some of these may not fit your situation but maybe you can do a variation of some things that I mentioned.
