How much money would U.S. taxpayers save if we cut the number of politicians in half?
Quite a bit of money in salaries now and pensions later. Would it change the overall opinions of the group? Doubtfully. And it would be cheaper on the insurance companies and all the other lobbyists for their bribe money too.
Taxes would be the same. The question is: how much would the government save? Well, how much does a politician get as a salery? Add up the yearly saleries of the politician's that would get laid off and you have the money the government would save without those people.
