At any time. It depends not on age, but on vision, activity, persistence and many other personal qualities that are not dependent on age.

A person should aim to do it as soon as he/she has savings. In the meantime, he/she can work out how to do it. :-D

Now. By buying life insurance, investing in mutual fund.....that is making your money working for you. The moment your expenses is equal to your income that is Financial Independence. The moment your expenses is equal your passive income then it is Financial Freedom.
