What would be the first thing you will buy with the money you earn through your own handwork?
My goal is to be able to pay a bill with it, maybe a utility or two. If I earn more I'd like to use it to pay down some debt or as a down payment on a car. I'm train bound and commute by road bike at the moment.
Freedom. I would hand in my notice and start working from home.
Your 'Team Leader'
Maybe an item that would remind me that I must love my job because it is one way I can buy my needs including my wants.
When I published my first book and made my first sales, what was left over after tax and tithe went into books on writing and frapaccinos
It's kinda a perpetual motion writing machine- you feed education, hard work and caffeine in one end, you get books out the other, which funds more education and caffeine....
The very first self-made earning that got me my first brand new SLR camera is from my graphic design talents as a freelance artist. But what hindered me to pursue freelancing my skills are: 1) the bank fees that preyed on my small business account, 2) the fast upgrading of expensive graphic software, and 3) dishonest clients who took the finished product and ran away from my reasonable fees.
Aside from graphics, I enjoy doing other things like craft work and the love for photography; and I am dreaming of upgrading to the best professional camera and macro/telephoto lenses with its matching gadgets that I do not yet own. To enroll myself to becoming more confident and professional in this field that I truly love to do would be a dream come true.
With having the right tools to what I love to do, I would prosper more and could earn from it.
