What are the things you find valuable when you go to yard sale?

how do you find yourself going there? Is it helpful, fun, and wise to spend money and time?

Old books are my favorites. But usually there is nothing to be found at a yard sale. It takes a lot of searching to find one good piece.

When I go to yard sales I rarely find anything "valuable"... I mainly look for CDs, books, and movies to add to my collections.

It's hard to find valuable things at yard sales.  A large percentage of yard sales that I have been to seem to be stacked with piles of old clothes and home decor items.  Hardly valuable items. I like to look for tools, electronics, and fitness equipment however I rarely get lucky.  I also peruse their book and movie collections and every once in a while I find a good movie at a great price.  If the books are in decent condition I may buy a bunch of them with the hope of turning a profit by reselling them on Half.com

I go for the books. Sometimes I'll look through their random stuff to see if there's anything cool. It really depends on how I'm feeling that day.
