Has anyone heard that Trump will send Palin to represent for him at the January 28 debate?

I laughed, but then thought, what a great way to encourage debate moderators to focus their questions on the topic rather than the person.  I mean, if they are not sure who will show up, then how could they focus on personality?

If it was me, I'd ask her how she claims moral superiority with an abusive son, and a single pregnant daughter. After all,  she claims to be a "real" American. Are these to real American values all of a sudden? Hasn't her party been bashing people such as this? And how come when liberals point out Fox bias, it's laughed off. Now it becomes an issue? Dear Palin...where are the principles you brag about? From an American, natural born.

If it was you, she'd make mince meat of you and your questions. I'm, surprised you didn't tell her they should have aborted the "illegitimate" child and euthanized the downs syndrome child, those are your values right?

Well, she DID call him her retard grandchild/er son. That's something I would never do.....especially when demanding apology from others saying it. And I know just how she'd answer me: "it's all Obama's fault".  Yes Sarah, we know we know (koo koo)

Sarah doesn't need her kids to make her a mockery. The woman does that FINE all by herself. Every time she opens her mouth. I firmly believe "family" is OFF LIMITS anyway. in politics or any position. When that is done by someone, I'm DONE w/ them!

What KIND of people are we talking about?  Using such a nasty, insulting, crude reference for a Downs Syndrome child??!!  As if that precious baby chose to be born with this!?  This sort of severe ignorance makes me literally sick at heart!

This coming from a party that's had 9 years of Birtherism! Yes, people believe anything. And she's said plenty garbage people believe. Her son had choice: military or jail. Her daughter pregnant 3r child no husband. Just imagine Obama's or Clinton's.

Bristol is expecting her 2nd.child, not 3rd.The Downs Syndrome child is Sarah's & Todd's youngest. I cannot & would not bash anyone's child. That's pretty much as low as one can go, unless UR out to stab someone directly in the heart. Same th

Well u know  stories were out there that was Bristol's child, not Sarah's. You should read what people say about them, it's not pretty. But it gets glossed over while we hear umpteen million times about Birtherism and Benghazi. Children on w Limbaugh

Despite "gossip," (which I deplore) I choose not to drag family, especially children into my dislke/disrespect 4 anyone. U can't be a Mom. If U R 1 day, U'll abruptly stop that chatter. & BTW, claw the eyeballs out of anyone who insults UR child!

I'm a mom and grandma. And I gossip on those who partake themselves. Did you ever wonder how Obama's kids felt hearing their dad  was a Muslim terrorist? And u just explained my despise of Rush, r w hero. He compared Chelsea Clinton to a dog, bc ugly

Oh but you are OK with Bill Maher calling Trig a retard on public television  Don't hear you screaming about him, no you take the word of a scorned adolescent with no supporting reports to rail on Palin...we know how objective you are.

Was that before or after Rush called Chelsea a Dog? Cause if it was after...the die was already cast. And I don't recall any uproar against Russsshhhh. Nor against those who have bashed Barry and Moochelle going on 9Years.Me thinks the pot is calling

Rush has no filter. We all know this I'm shocked 2 know UR a Mom. &  still rag on someone's kids. They have ZERO 2 do w/ their parent's political blunders. & once adults, how much control do parents have of kids? U must realize this as a Mom.

I'm not ragging on anyone's kids. She's a single mom, whom tea party usually spit on. Just because her mom is famous doesn't get her a pass. I'm shocked you're shocked, after horrible way Obama's are treated. Glenn Beck making fun, Laura Ingraham, etc

No, I had not heard that but think it would be a big mistake.  To me that would be like sending your mommie to deal with the bullies in the school yard.  If he does do this I would lose confidence in his ability to lead our country.

    1. tsadjatko profile image65
tsadjatkoposted 8 years agoin reply to this

Do we know yet he has that ability? We won't know until (and if) he is elected. He's never held elected office nor had to lead a Democracy - "you're fired" only works in a dictatorship (of sorts).

TSAD - No we sure don't know.  I think we are going on the assumption he could not be any worse than Obama.  If nothing else he has brought it to our attention just how broken Washington really is.  That alone is a plus.

I have to agree with you last comment Mike, it just bothers me to compare anyone to Obama as having to be better. That's like saying anything is better than getting punched in the face, how about getting shot in the back.

TSAD - I am of the opinion that we just can't afford another President who will not do the job.  Hillary or Bernie would be the final nail in the coffin of America.  Fortunately, there are other good candidates on the Republican side.

And some say Palin will be Trump's VP (Vixen President?), neither will ever happen!

I haven't heard that, only that Trump's not showing up. He knows how to hurt people, in their wallet. Fox ratings will suffer greatly without him in this debate (who wants to listen to Rand Paul and  Chris Christie argue) and I doubt seriously he'd let Sarah or anyone else speak for him in a presidential debate, that would just be weird. I know no debate hosting station would allow it anyway.

As far as encouraging the debate moderators to focus their questions on the topic rather than the person, fat chance of that when the media demands they focus on the person or it wouldn't be like that in the first place. It's up to the candidates to force them to talk about policy.

Did you hear the guy ask the question at the last Hiliary town hall? When reading it he said I see why they gave you this question! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZEeZ7ddgco A revealing faux pas? Why did he say that? Hiliary's team plants the questions they want asked in their audience sounds like a fair appraisal, knowing the Clintons don't like to leave anything to chance.

I will assume Trump was awake & aware to watch the great FALL of McCain, thanks in lg part to SARAH?  Dems must be HOPING he asks her to be VP! t would be OVER! Period, THE END! No more "smart business man!" Just another STUPID moron!

Would that matter if he was awake for McCain? Afterward he supported Romney. He may be a successful Businessman but not so good at picking winners and losers.

This SHOULD be, for any sane voter, the LAST stunt The Donald is allowed to pull off.  What the HELL???  Wah, Wah,  I don't LIKE Megan Kelly & I'm NOT gonna play with her!
Really?  This is our big bad, mature, strong, fighting Bull Dog who has all the answers to all our ailments??  He's AFRAID of Megan Kelly?!  Donald needs to check his pure silk thong. It needs altering I'm sure!

As if I don't despise politicians enough, I need more reason to be disgusted & appalled.  Why, that soft-palmed, silver-spoon, elitist pansy-ass!

Please Mr. Trumpster....go build another casino or golf course, or SUE somebody (you obviously have that down to a circular science!)  Whatever  "Mr. Master Negotiator"  just stick with what you (might) KNOW!  And while you're at it, hire a couple of extra body guards in case Megan tries to jump out at you and say,  "BOO!"
What a WUSS!   A BABY  WUSS!......

    Jim

I don't watch the news, and I hadn't heard this one. No surprise, I mean that I don't know. I gave up TV and Cable News 10 years ago.

In my opinion, people shouldn't rely on the media for their decision making, as the NEWs is Not the News, but Events with Opinions.

Both the Democrats and the Republicans have a pathetic showing for the presidential candidates. So it is no wonder that Trump is top dog in this race.

How many women can be elected as a governor, and then be disrespected by the political machine. So if Trump tags on Sarah then good for him respecting the power of a women.

Remember the democrats threw Hillary under the Bus, and now they are resurrecting her. And yet no one attacks her like they did Sarah Palin.

So in my opinion the debates have never produced any real issues, so I like the fact that Trump can walk away from the Media trap. Remember, that in the 2008 debates, the economy wasn't the main issue, and yet the economy collapsed before the election.

I like Trump as the catalyst to change the tradition, as the tradition has brought us to where we are today, and that is not a good place.

If I was off topic here, feel free to delete my comment.
