   We all know how most Conservative's view the future, but how do Liberals & Independents see it?
   
   The Christian conservative story of an apocalypse & 2nd coming of JC ushering in the perfect 'Kingdom of God' on Earth is infamous in America; and other religions have similar apocalyptic variations on the future end of the world as we know it. Also, I'm pretty sure that there are Christian liberals & independents out there who maybe have a different world view than their conservative peers. Honestly, it is difficult for each of us to imagine how people who don't think like us view the future. Maybe our world 'now' would make more sense if we could see how others dream about it...

   As a Christian Liberal (yes, Virginia, we do exist) I have to say my view was different a year ago.  I would have said we had repaired some of the damage we'd done in the past in the areas of sexism, racism, concern for the less-fortunate and the environment, and our role in the world militarily.  Today, I can't see my way clear to say any of that.  I'd say we've taken two steps forward in the past generation and today we've taken one step back.  I am hopeful that the American people are willing to right wrongs eventually, and eventually, we will get back on the right path. 
   Speaking of my faith, I think Jesus will return when we least expect it - that's what the Bible says. And after a period of trials and tribulations, God will reestablish the world as it was intended to be - perfect.

      Agree to the last part.
      Have you thought perhaps, it was the liberal views of the past 30 years that has brought our society down to where we are today?  entitlements, food stamps, failed public schools, crime and lawlessness, teen unemployment...

      I think thats the way most feel - we were heading in a good direction, but we've just went backwards. Jack, the day you stop blaming liberals for everything, we can probably have a decent conversation. That is GOP cultivated BS over 8 years.

   There won't be any future if we can't find a common ground to be the United States. And the problem lies in the loyal voters of both parties. Both parties have no common ground, they a diametrically opposite in their ideology and their goals.
   
   They treat congress like their local sports team. It doesn't matter who failed to score in congress because the US lost. The search for the guilty doesn't solve any problems, it just creates more problems.
   
   The US has been in decline since the 1970s, and that was due to the loyal party voters. Both parties put the party before the country and the people.
   
   And this year is the worst year since the 2008 economic meltdown, which was the fault of both parties. From 2007 until the election the entire congress was ignoring the country, and instead they were all campaigning. Many senators were involved in trying to win the presidency, while the rest of congress were trying to win elections and reelections.
   
   So the economic meltdown occurred, and it was the result of both parties working against each other that allowed it to blindside them. They didn't have a clue on what to do. The old congress and pres GW Bush threw $750 billion at the problem and that was followed by another $750 billions by the pres Obama and his congress.
   Throwing money at a problem is never a solution, and this was no exception. The bankers got their money, gave themselves 7 figure bonuses, but the victims the people lost everything. They lost their homes, their jobs, and found they needed food stamps, and Unemployment Benefits to survive.
   
   The point of this is that if we can't solve the current problem of the democrats wanting to take president Trump down, even at the cost of taking the country down there is no future. And God doesn't return tithings to help you.
   
   If you are proud to be a liberal or a conservative, with or without God, you are a big part of the problem.
   
   Looking at the present, it has to be concluded that All the presidents since the 1970s, and all the congresses have to be deemed BAD. The reason they are bad is because their loyal party voters, allowed their party to put the party before the country and Americans.
   
   We have been in almost continuous wars since WWI. We didn't win any of them. Both parties did that.
   
   My point then is forget about the future, and try and deal with the present.

      I disagree with your assertion that the problem lies with both left and right...
      The problem I see is with the elites of both parties and the insiders of DC. They are the problem. They are also not Conservative by any stretch.

      My point is that voters of all kinds see the future differently; and it is one of the reasons we vote the way we do. For instance, Trump inspired mixed reactions from all kinds of peeps; and I can't imagine what their vision of the future is.

      The "2008 Meltdown" was the fault of former president G. Bushs' de-regulation of the banking industry, period. It just served to show how our "debt-based" economy is perched precariously on the edge of disaster at all times.

   We don't know how all Conservatives view the World. We do know how bigoted and intolerant many Liberals are to any idea they do not agree with. We see the hatred, violence and sedition they commit when they do not get what they want.
   Also your use of the word "infamous" is both incorrect and improper. I thought you said you were a Christian?

      That story IS infamous here. I'm not Christian nor liberal. I'm moderate - read my 1st spotlight article. We R not bigoted & intolerant. That is your problem with us - U WANT us to be as narrow-minded as U & hate religious & cultural dive
