Do you agree with the firing of FBI director Comey by President Trump?

Breaking news. James Comey is fired as Director of FBI.
    Any thoughts?

No but it could be  a blessing in disguise . Should be clear to most  if not all that as Comey and those in the bureau have begun to close in on more proof of Russia's meddling in US politics and favoring Trump.  Blatantly obvious that there is a Huge problem here .  So how long will the citizens of this country continue in the practice of spectator politics ?  People of all political persuasions in America need to come to the realization as to the GRAVE  situation we are in and will continue to be in unless Trump is exposed for what he is and what he is willing and capable of doing .

What proof, to date, the investigation has not shown any proof. The FBI didn't even get the DNC alleged hacked servers, to check it out. What kind of an investigation is that?

We know you don't like Trump, but your opinion is factless, and baseless.

Flynn was fired because of the accusations from the Obama administrations leaks. It was a classified tapping of his conversation with the Russian ambassador. My point is that Flynn really didn't do anything criminal. Lying to the VP, so what. No one wants to tell the boss bad news.

if they can do that to Flynn, they should have done it to Comey. For the head of the FBI he needs a refresher course in the law. None of the investigations, or failure to investigate Hillary, DNC or anything thing on the left was investigated by the Obama 17 intelligence agencies. Sally Yates and unmasking Flynn and others, along with the FBI and the CIA have NOT been done in earnest.

FBI never even interviewed Hillary Clinton under oath, no grand jury, no spcl prosecutor, they gave anyone working for her Immunity, but for what, they refused to give any evidence in the case for that immunity.

This is why Comey should have been fired right after Trump took office as pres.

A president shouldn't rely on the people picked by the previous president. Especially, when those people think they are still working to the drumbeat of the previous president.

At least Dennis Clapper, the Obama CIA director said, We haven't found anything about Russia or Trump concerning the election.

Back to Comey. Under what scenario should Comey have not been fired. It has been over six months since Trump won the presidency, and all during that time Comey has just been political during his time answering to the congressional investigations. He admitted that Hillary Clinton had committed all the elements of the laws about gross negligence of classified information on her private, unprotected email server. Intent is not an element of that crime, yet that was used as Hillary don't go to jail, thanks Comey.

If we added intent, we call it Treason, or sedition.

FBI under Comey didn't even do anything when Hillary under subpoena to turn over her server, deleted over 50,000 files, had her server BleachBit to remove any trace of them. like burning or shredding files in the office before the police can get in. It is an act of criminality.

hardware was destroyed, much like all the steel from 911. You can't do forensics without evidence.

same is true about the alleged hack of the DNC servers, that the FBI has never been on those servers. Yet, we have congressional investigations initiated by the left, alleging hacking by Putin conspiring with Trump.

Is this really, the FBI of today? Yes, Comey shb Fired earlier.

All I hear are opinions from the left, and they are devoid of any facts. The left blows up a distraction balloon and it is supposed to be real. Yet, they have not produced any evidence. Where is the evidence. We have enuf evid on Comey failures.

I agree with you. Comey should have been fired day one.
He was put in a bad position by Loretta Lynch. There was a no win situation dealing with the Hillary email scandal.
Lynch would not indict even when clear criminal acts were comitted.

Yes, and Lynch should be investigated for her obstruction of justice, including but not limited to the Bill Clinton meeting just days before Comey let Hillary off the hook.

I just finished reading Jack's link to CNBC.  To sum it up, Comey was fired because after his investigations, he presented his conclusion to the public.  That is a violation of DOJ policy.  He was supposed to present his findings to the justice department and then further appropriate action would be taken by the DOJ as to whether these were criminal acts or not.

I also believe that Trump felt they were closing in on him about his and his staff's connections to Russia and Putin.  By firing the guy who was doing the investigation, now they have to start at square one.

However, this may backfire for Trump and his people because Comey is not burdened by partisan politics.  Now Lindsey Graham and his people are free to investigate Comey and find out what he really knows.

The investigation on Trump has been going on forever, and too date they have found nothing. But the Obama administration is where the investigation needs to be today.

The FBI is more than one person, and Comey was just the political figure.

They do not have to start at square one. The investigation will continue on as before. Comey was incompetent to hold the office. He overstepped his bounds repeatedly & he brought down morale at the FBI. Comey's boss recommended he be fired.

That is correct. The whole timing issue from the left and the Rinos is yet another deflection. Actually, if Comey has some evidence he can still produce it for congress. And he has less restraints now that he is a private citizen.

From all the comments and tslking heads I hear on TV, the question I have is why did it take so long for him to be fired or resign? It seems he did everything wrong from beginning of the Hillary email affair...

Trump gave Comey every chance and that is the basis of why it took so long. Comey acted above the law, above the president, and above the SCOTUS.

Also, the democrats dn let Trump fill his appointments, so there was a priority issue as well.

Great answer for what question? He didn't agree or disagree with the question that asked to do just that. Just another deflection and liberal monologue.
