Why do you think that President Obama will win this election?

Because things are getting better. The polls are pretty clear.

Better? The polls are clear and Obama loses.

          Link, please.
Only poll that shows Romney leading is Rassmussen.

As I said money where your mouth is $25 says Obama wins. At the moment he is leading by about 125 electoral college votes.

Because he is going to win the most Electoral College votes. Duh? big_smile

        Today's electoral vote count.
With a tidal wave of new segments of the leaked fundraiser tape coming out.
It will get worse for Romney.

Because he'll get the most votes from women, minorities, unions, and those dreaded uber educated liberals. lol Jest us dum folks is a-votin' fer Mitt.

Sorry about the missing umlaut. Or is it diaeresis? I always get those two confused.

Sorry if my comment came off as offensive, it's just factual, according to the Pew typology research from 2011 anyway.

*narcissistically assuming the comment was aimed at me tongue *

Ha! I had to go back and read your comment to see what you were talking about! No, I know liberaldom includes more college-educated individuals. Not all moderate conservatives are ignorant, however. I'll bet there might even be a few on the FAR right who are pretty smart, along with a few on the far left who aren't.

I'm not offended, Josak. Many people think all southerners fit the stereotype, though - uneducated, toothless, cousin-marrying rednecks. lol

Oh good, it occurred to me afterwards that it might come off that way.

I don't know if he will win but if he does I believe it will because the independents usually decide the vote anymore. They are not easily swayed by the rhetoric and gut appealing missquotes that the party politic feed into.

Because a lot of people are dependent on his more lenient policies regarding healthcare, food stamps, etc. Why vote for the guy who wants to tighten things up and make it harder for you to get things for free?

Mitt Romney also has a decided lack of eloquence and likability. He has the charm of roadkill and he's too straight-laced. He's a bit self conscious, I think. Obama is personable and for the majority of uneducated voters, that's a lot of what they see and plays a considerable role in who to vote for.

    Just some random thoughts.

And let's not forget the educated voters.
      smile
      Likability means nothing.
We  look at the many independent sources that refute Romney's policies and conclude Romney would be disastrous for our country.

Obama gets the vast majority of the educated vote. Liberals are almost twice as likely to have   college education.

Under what basis do you draw that conclusion?

Perhaps I am the exception, but I am not liberal, and happen to have two college degrees, plus a nice n' shiny high school diploma. The notion that people who don't vote for Obama are stupid is one I am really getting sick of seeing, even on HubPages.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Romney supporter. But I am by no means liberal (I can thank my education for that, actually).

Same as I said above, it's statistics, I only posted it because someone claimed the opposite. The Pew Typography research of 2011 covers it, it's remained pretty consistently that way since their first one in the early 90s I believe, college graduates vote liberal which conservatives will say is because they are brainwashed by socialist professors and I will claim is simply because they are more widely read and educated etc. it's not meant as a specific comment on anyone just the valid maths, I am certainly not trying to insult your intelligence.

Good question, not sure. I imagine that would significantly reduce the difference but I am just guessing. Apparently Democrat economists outnumber Republican economists by about 8 to 1 though so IDK.

Uneducated voters, high school graduates, elementary graduates? What is uneducated?

Although Romney is not a bad man, he can't feel what the common people are experiencing.
