   Rush said this even before the children started to have a funeral.
   
   "It is terrible, incomprehensible but I'm going to tell you something  as we sit here at this very moment, you know it and I know it  there are liberals trying to find a way to blame this on conservatives or Republicans," Rush Limbaugh said the school shooting in Connecticut on his nationally syndicated radio program this afternoon.
   
   "So it may sound a little hard edged to say it, but I'm telling you, there are elements of the mainstream media who are doing everything they can with their number one objective is to see if there's anything they can blame on conservative media or Republican policies or the Second Amendment," Limbaugh added.

               I agree,  but I don't think he has the list.  It doesn't seem like he cares.  Maybe he doesn't have children.  That might make a difference.  This is a silly hub, but at least I had the chance to say he is an idiot

                     Because maybe, just maybe, the death of TWENTY children at the hands of a mad man has nothing to do with politics or religion or anything else. 
                     
                     And maybe, just maybe, any human being with a heart is devastated for the parents and families left behind to deal with the grief and absolute HELL of losing someone they love at this time of year.
                     
                     And maybe, just maybe, it's because while he bitches about the mainstream media, he's the same kind of rabid beast eating up a tragedy for ratings.

      Hi, Michele, Rush is just an idiot, period. Have you heard the latest? The rightwingers say that the tragedy could have been avoided if all the teachers and administrators were armed. I guess we could have provided the young children with sidearms as well, now there is the rightwinger solution. These people are not fit to take out my garbage.

      Rush is an Idiot, inconsiderate awhole and lots of other things. His love of money will see him in hell. 
      
      Not one Liberal/Progressive/Democrat has mentioned doing away with the second amendment or blamed the Republicans lack of response in the wake of the Sandy Hook School shooting.
      I do not listen to Rush, at all.  Yes I think he is an idiot and he represents the worst of the worst in the Republican Party, an uncaring, unfeeling, inconsiderate, woman hating piece of garbage, whose negative energy makes me angry --- I can listen to O'Reilly, Hannity, and sometimes even Caputo, but not Rush.
      I think Rush is as sick as the person who did the shooting.
      
      I am hoping that President Clinton's ban on assault weapons will be brought back.  I think a lot of NRA members will be on board with that but, not the gun dealers whose profits are more important to them than any child's life will not.
      
      Rush is an insult to the human race!

         Does it make the station money?  Long odds it won't hurt their income one iota, and will likely increase it.
         
         I hate his style of demagoguery, but I hate the fact that enough people will listen to it to earn a fortune just as much.  That he is successful (and very much so) should tell you he won't be fired - it's what the people want.

                  you said that the hard right conservatives love listening to him.  They are the ones who don't want gun control laws.  There are a lot of Republicans in the GOP right now.  None of them are doing anything to change any laws.

                     I see.  I think you will find far more than the relative small handful of rabid right wingers that are very leery of gun control.
                     
                     Gun control has become a mantra for many (notably the rabid left wingers) and gun owners are all too aware that the ultimate goal is to remove all gun ownership from US citizens.  This makes them fight very hard against any control at all because they understand that each small step is but a small part of the larger goal.

                        Well no matter what, it people are still going to be able to get guns.   In Ohio you can get a gun in about 5 minutes.  I live in Ohio, that is how long it took me to get one.  Here are the rules in Ohio

                                       Here are Ohio's rules  5 MINUTES!
                                       
                                       Once you decide which gun to buy, there is paperwork to fill out. You'll be given a Form 4473, which is a firearms transaction record published by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. It asks you to list information such as your name, address, date of birth, and some questions about your background (are you a fugitive from justice, have you been convicted of a felony, etc.). You will also need to produce identification, such as a driver's license or state ID. Once you fill out this form, which takes about 5 minutes, the store clerk will call the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). This system conducts a quick records check (usually less than a minute) to try to determine if you are disqualified from owning a firearm. Three things can happen, you can be approved, denied, or delayed. Approval is most common, denied means they found what seems to be a disqualification (you can appeal), and delayed means they need more time to conduct a more thorough check.                            That's a part of it also - legal or not you are NOT going to get guns away from Americans and those that own guns responsibly know that.  One of the results of that knowledge is that will not give up their own guns, allowing "only the criminals to have guns" (another mantra from the fight).

                        I would not want my right to own a gun to be taken away. But even hunters do not need assult weapons unless they want their deer meat to look like swiss cheese.

   Michelle Hey haven't run into you in a while...have a blessed holiday. In regards to Rush what can be said except he deserves the "idiot of the year award every darn year." Everything that comes out of his mouth is orchestrated to cause controversy and get ratings. It amazes me that he is still on the air but stupidity like sex seem to sell.

   I couldn't have children when I first wanted them. I know what it is like to see people with babies in their arms when there was none in my arms. I have worked with children all my adult life.
   There are indeed topics that should be off limits. Starting a political diatribe before the first soul was laid to rest is indeed despicable but it didn't stop the president or Dianne Feinstein did it.
   I didn't see Limbaugh's name on that link.
   I was in a sporting good store that sells guns today. They had a  beautiful German Shepherd who wandered around the customers.  The guys that own the store keep her around because she is a good judge of character. They don't have to sell to anyone they don't feel comfortable selling to. And nobody much argues with them. If I were afraid of somebody that's the place I would go to.  I used to think the police station was a place to get help, but you can't get help at the police station these days.  The doors are locked most of the time.

   However pathetic Lumbaugh's comments were, however out of place, it pales beside the media.  Tonight's newspaper featured a large photo on the front page of one woman at the cemetery where she buried her 6 year old son today, a victim of the shooting.
   
   There is something decidedly wrong with a society that find it pays to publish such things.

         Sick to death of the media taking this moment to capitalize on a parents worst nightmare. My heart breaks for those families. A dear friend died suddenly last month. The shock was incredible when the ambulance pulled away without anyone in it, then additional police came. He was 62, sat down for a weekend nap, and was gone when his wife woke from her nap. His family came together and loved on each other, as friends and neighbors loved on them all.  That is what our country should be doing. We should be loving on our children and teachers and seeking to strengthen relationships.
