I really get a kick out of debating on forums , But  seriously people !   If you haven't yet begun to realize that terrorism events like the recent killings  of late are just a beginning ?  Then  you are all  solidly naïve!    I'm serious , really naïve  !    Its just a beginning and I have stated this since  I began commenting on these forums !  Who in the world believes that this is some kind of fad ?   Like what , Bermuda shorts ,  oversized sunglasses ,   cool-locks ,  purple hair dye ?

It is just a beginning !..........   Comments ?

People are people. Always were, always will be.

Some are violent. That's part of human nature. Nothing new under the sun.

I am not willing to agree to change America into a police state because of fringe radicals. Maybe Omar Mateen should have been locked up previously, maybe not. I'd rather risk dying in a terrorist attack than to treat all people like potential terrorists.

The Supreme Court in Connecticut and New York rejected challenges to assault weapons ban, after the terrorist attack in Orlando.

Trump promises not to limit guns and ammo sales, and to protect our 2A rights.  He talks with those patriotic Americans at the NRA and really listens to what they say, they are the experts...and they really are great guys.

I like what Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr  had to say,  “They’d rather have us talking about whether gun control works or not than talking about the fact that the President of the United States… cannot keep us safe.”

I feel like he turned his back on the gay community for the Muslims.

Again and again for much of his life, Omar Mateen let people know he was a violent, dangerous person capable of murder. Repeatedly, he wiggled out of trouble, distracting officials with a beguiling charm, a feigned stupidity or some other tactic.

Omar Mateen once threatened to massacre his classmates after a piece of juicy pork touched his hamburger by accident.

Mateen threatened to carry out a shooting at a policy academy because he felt he was being mistreated as a Muslim.

    According to:  http://www.wsj.com/articles/a-life-of-v … 1466127324

Seddique Mateen, Omar’s father, insisted that his son's attack had nothing to do with religion whatsoever

"Again and again for much of his life ..........",     You are absolutely right !
Insanity =  doing the same thing over and over and expecting new results
Answer ,   Ban guns with  high capacity clips - it didn't work last time !

I suppose now that Mateen is dead, the government has put his name on the No Fly List.  roll

That list is unconstitutional, and people are not given due process. People don't know how they got on the list, and they aren't told how they can get off the list.

Evidently, whoever the administration deems a political extremist can be put on the list.  Well, is that anyone who opposes open borders and unvetted immigration or anything else in opposition to the one world government's agenda?

I don't fly, so I will never know if I am on the list or not.  However, the list is a real concern.

His wife should have known how crazy he was. Something should have been done. She realized she could have been killed. People have the ability to discern C R A Z Y and the responsibility to get help for the person. And report them to authorities when treasonous threats are made.
