Do you think there is too much, too little, or just enough democracy in the United States today?
Too much , and there is an epidemic of devisiveness, We can only dream that it maintains, the missing ingrediant , common sense , something that takes years to develop ,It seems that Americans are regressing in maturity.
I do not believe that you can have too much democracy. However the citizens of a democracy must accept their responsibility and participate. Elected officials must be held accountable by the vote of the citizens in a democracy. We have not been doing that.
I would say that it is about right and would probably explain why politics is relatively stable in the US compared to other countries. Given that our leaders are virtually ignoring the American people right now with Obamacare and talk of raising taxes, we could probably do with a little more democracy right now...
