    Which does your church view as more harmful, same sex marriage or no-fault divorce?

    This is an issue that I can agree with to a point. The biggest disagreement is not with the  content but the apparent hypocrisy that exists concerning marriage and the peoples willingness to defend it.
    Defense of Marriage Act deals with the issue of same sex marriage. Why wasn't this title given to the Christian's opposition to the passage of no-fault divorce? Was there any opposition to no-fault back in 1970?
    The basic understanding of marriage and its purpose hold true today as it did back then. Why wasn't there as big a stink when no-fault rolled around? Isn't it worse for two Christians t

    Well I believe in Jesus' message but that's why I'm a Unitarian Universalist and my church is in line with my beliefs about all people being equal before God, regardless of race, age, gender, sexuality, class or social position, whatever. I struggled for a long time because it's hard to be liberal and forward thinking in a country where conservative propaganda has hijacked most major denominations. To me, serving God means teaching love. Of course, that's all probably just  a storybook, but love is still important!
