Where do you think the United States will stand in the world in twenty years?
While they will still be a superpower they may not have the economical growth to sustain the same dominance across the world as they have done for the past 50 years. With China's rapid growth and Middle Eastern oil, I think there will be a few changes in the political management.
I cannot see the future, nor can anyone else, because of the incalculable Variables involved ...
Some, however, still believe that theories, based in approximations, in fact, approximations, are a true indicator of the Possibilities ...
Theoretically ... in twenty years time ... the United States will have many an other States added to the Federation ... and the Federation, will be Ruling a world, made up of its Dependencies and Protectorates ...
But ... what no one says ... How the world will be ruled ... Obviously, it will not be a democratic set up ... it will be a Dictatorial arrangement ... where Science will be the Federal Religion ... and Banks will hold the Courts of Law ... Human Freedoms as we know today, will be ancient history !
All Democracies will become Dictatorships ... and all Dictatorships, like China ... will be Democratic ...
But the Truth Is ... we know nothing about any of the Tomorrows ...
i would love to say that they will be back to how they were 25 years ago but i doubt it. people in the U.S. have changed dramatically in the last couple of decades, from doers to wanters. they rely way too much on their government and it seems that fear is their biggest threat.
Well, we will still have enough nukes to destroy the world. That's one thing no country and no bad economy will take away from us. We are thugs.
