Does anyone other than me appreciate the candor of Bill Clinton?
Bill Clinton said today that we, the American people, deserve a president that will tell us the truth. He said that Mitt Romney was the only person he knew that when he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar, digs down deeper for more cookies. Clinton wasn't speaking from a script. He has nothing to lose. And he is driven to get Obama elected again. He has said "no president could have fixed everything that was wrong in this country in four years". Do you agree?
I do! I'd want Bill on my team if I was running for POTUS or running a marathon! He's a heck of a team player.
To answer your question, yes I agree. Houdini couldn't have fixed our county in 4 years, this is why Obama will be Prez for 8.
Excellent question!
Sunshine, I sure hope you're right about the "8". I'm sure doing my part to make it happen. I'd vote for Bill again in a New York minute if they would change the law and let him run again. :-)
I'm also doing my part, a bit much at times, but it's working!
I would also vote for Bill again. Or Hillary!!
No I don't. Clinton is a liar and a smooth-talker who thinks everyone else lies too. Metaphors about cookies are simply tactics of clever distraction from real issues. Romney's main problem in this election is that he has been too honest about his political agenda. If Romney is lying, then he needs to come up with some better lies about what he plans to do.
I think that before Romney comes us with better lies he needs to figure out what he stands for and stick to it. But, I respect your right to disagree.
I was just answering your question. He's a politician. All politicians flip flop constantly before an election. Clinton was just as bad back in '92 and '96. I'm happy that you found one politician that you believe in. I'm still looking for one.
Clinton is a talented politician, although I don't generally associate his name with candor. Since he is no longer a candidate, he now has more freedom to speak his mind. He will no longer face the scrutiny that he did when he was running.
Candor? Of Clinton? In candor you find innocence, in what way can you associate the noun candor with a politician?
My husband and I absolutely do. When he speaks to political issue, it is very clear that he speaks the truth because he spouts facts, not rhetoric. I'd love to see him back in the oval office, that's for sure!
No, just you. Was it candor when he had an affair with Lewinsky and did vile things with her while on duty in the White House.
He lied to the American people about it, and now he points out dishonesty in Romney. No, I can't take him seriously. I think before we criticize another person for something, we should make dam# sure we are not guilty of that same thing.

By now we all have heard of Mitt Romney's latest comments. “The president’s campaign, if you will, focused on giving targeted groups a big gift,” Romney said during that call to donors on Wednesday. Now I'm reading another excerpt from that same call. Romney claims Bill Clinton called him after the...

Does the current Hillary Clinton email scandal remind you of the Bill Clinton scandals of 1996?It seems to me history is repeating itself. I think the way this scandal is being investigated and unfolded is very similar to the Bill Clinton scandal of 1996. The MO is the same. First denial, then...
