As a man thinketh in his heart so is he... How true do you believe this statement to be ?
Quite true for me. I have slowly started to achieve what I want in my heart. It pays to have belief!
"How true do you believe" is no way to approach the Bible, or any fact for that matter. Something is either true or it is false: truth is absolute. Please don't interpret this as an attack. I merely wanted to point out the concrete nature of a fact.
That said, I believe this statement to be true. The real person is not only what you see on the outside, but also the mind, will and emotions of the inside.
I believe this to be true; religious or not, man is driven by the desires of his heart.
I believe it to be true, and live in that truth. Aside from all the religious and spiritual admonitions, the latest science also confirms this.
There is a neural center in our hearts - a bunch of brain cells in our hearts. When we calm the breathing, focus on a sense of warmth or opening in our hearts, and set an intention to love, this center activates. Anyone can do it, and it takes about 30 seconds.
When we do it: heart rate settles, blood pressure stabilizes, the heart generates a smooth, even magnetic field larger than the body, and all neural and hormonal systems come quickly into balance.
Then the neural center in the heart sends a message to the prefrontal cortex (classically called the third eye. It is a message encouraging unification and love, within ourselves and in relation to the people and the world around us.
All this ties directly to the more normal meaning of "as a man thinketh in his heart." Angry, hateful thoughts, even irritation, shut down this heart center. To think a cursing thought does *to us* what doing murder does *to us,* as Jesus teaches.
Let me be clear. I appreciate those who keep the outer commandment / precept not to kill.
But I also encourage all of us to follow the inner commandments: To love ourselves in a healthy way; to love our neighbors as ourselves; and to love our enemies this same way. This unconditional love (agape) heals us and changes our destiny - for the better.
John Lennon performed "Imagine" in 528. Why? Because he "got," as we have--the opportunity of co-creating peace-on-earth, by musicially tuning to the "LOVE frequency.
528 Hertz is a frequency that is central to the "musical mathematical matrix of creation." More than any sound previously discovered, the "LOVE frequency" resonates at the heart of everything. It connects your heart, your spiritual essence, to the spiraling reality of heaven and earth.

Or have most people gone back to the feudalistic medieval mindset: that marriage is purely for the procurement and protection of property? I have seen so many people hide from their emotions because they are afraid of rejection. And then there's me, hiding from my emotions out of fear of success.
