When is an apology not an apology?
Obama lied about people being able to keep their plans and he said that he was sorry that all these people find themselves with cancelled health insurance policies. Does that count as an apology? First he didn't admit to lying. Second he didn't take responsibility for the fact that his flagship legislation is what caused the cancellations in the first place. He placed such a restrictive grandfather clause that any change, even a normal annual increase in premium, would cause a cancellation. He knew these cancellations would happen. But he's sorry that people are getting cancellations. ???
What you saw was as close to an apology as Obama is able to give. This might be the first time in his life he has ever tried to apologize to anyone.

Do you apologise to people, even if you are NOT in the wrong – just for peace sake?I do sometimes, to avoid any stress but I don’t want people thinking I’m a soft touch.

I wish I had stuck to my policy so far on HP of typing stuff and then deleting instead of...

The President announced his big fix today. Once again, circumventing Congress and the Constitution to do as he pleases. You can now keep your plan, well, for the next year. The message? I don't want you to suffer, well, at least not until AFTER mid-term elections....
