Is the protest for democracy in Hong Kong being downplayed by the U.S. media?

Hi Beth..Been a while...To answer your question, Democracy is not the issue with these student protesters...It is about political corruption and rampant nepotism in the Hong Kong government...In fact, the protesters are asking for China to intercede in their behalf...They have no dispute with Communist ideology as some western news sources would lead us to believe...Any comparison with Tiananmen Square should be ignored...Larry
