   Why Do White Racist Groups, Use The Nazi And Confederate Flags, As Symbols Of Their Racist Beliefs?
   
   If these flags, aren't symbols of racism and they just represent, "Southern" and "German" heritage, and not racism, why did they pick these 2 flags to represent their racist ideology? .

   I hope someone actually answers this. I am confused as to why so many people want that hateful part of their heritage to be constantly remembered, yet the same people will quickly say they had nothing to do with slavery it was their ancestors. Personally I'd want to be as disconnected from that type of heritage. The Nazi flag is illegal in many countries, so I don't understand why so many people are defending the confederate flag which is used as a hate symbol by many.
   I don't think it should be illegal for people to own, but it shouldn't be connected to our state or federal government. There is no denying the KKK uses these to represent hate and racism. I wouldn't want to defend anything used by these idiots!

   The Confederate Battle Flag is associated with the American Civil War, which would not have begun had white slave owners not feared the eventual abolition of slavery. "States Rights" was a euphemism for "slavery". The poor southern whites (who were racists because they didn't want to be lumped in with slaves) and most of the US Army officer corps from the south bought into the notion of states' rights and secession began. The Nazi flag has come to be associated with the murder of 6 Million Jews. So, the two flags represent black oppression and the murder of Jews, respectively.

   Many people cannot accept the fast-paced changes in the globalized new world order. So they turn to hate, thinking that they can stop the natural progression of how the world works today.
   I tune into Fox News to learn who to hate! Obama the socialist Muslim who wants to impose Sharia Law? Is it women who want to take back ownership of their bodies? Is it liberated mayors who want body cameras on all police cars and officers? Is it you and me who want to move on and fulfill the American Dream of a middle class lifestyle? Is it those who like the Affordable Care Act?
   Wow. Hate has become a family value along with Reagan-inspired greed.
   Hate and honoring the Nazi swastika and the Confederate Flag is all these folks have to hang onto in order to feel they're better than others.
   What's wrong with feeling equal? Well, it's a worldwide stratified economy. And that breeds hatred. After all, it's hard to accept that you are "trailer trash" when people judge you by what you own. Hatred eases the pain in a totally sick way.
