Who do you think would make a better president: Trump or Sanders?
I know that Hillary might as well get the democratic nomination, but, what if Bernie Sanders gets it and he has to go against Trump, who do you think would win?
Based on the economic basket cases of Venezuela, Argentina and other socialist countries, I would say not Sanders.
Bernie Sanders is a confirmed Democratic Socialist. He is for programs that benefit the citizens of the U.S.A.
Trump is a confirmed bankrupt "businessman" that has screwed people left and right.
So, yep, Bernie gets my vote. I'm tired of paying $4,000+ per year out of pocket for my medicine because some Trump-like businessman in a soulless corporation and CEO can make it into the top 1%.
It depends on what direction that you think the country should go in under any president. There have been so many red herrings in the presidential race that real issues haven't been discussed, and those that have been discussed weren't specific enough in detail to make any conclusion.
Socialism isn't an answer, the American dream was based on anyone being able to climb the ladder. Both parties however tilted the ladder. Income Tax caused the disparity among the people, and failure of the gov to control big business lost the American dream.
I don't see any of the candidates hitting the real important issues.
You didn't watch last night's Democratic debate then. The issues discussed were very specific!
Four years ago the Republicans diagnosing their loss concluded that in the future they had to do much better with women, minorities (especially Hispanics), and young people.
Overall, the Republican party is, at best, about the same as they where before. Personally, I think they are probably worse, but I don't have anything to back that up besides opinion. Even so, Trump is probably in the worst position of all the candidates with those groups. He is only doing well because he has fairly significant support from uneducated white men.
Fortunately, there aren't enough uneducated white men to elect anybody. Trump can't beat Sanders. Trump can't beat Clinton. Heck Trump couldn't beat a pig in a dress. It isn't rocket science. If you spit in the faces of the majority you will never win a popularity contest.
Trump is an entertainer who appeals to people with very poor taste and will never be President.
Well said junkseller. It is my opinion as well. Trump can only buy so much popularity. I salute the veterans who turned down his cash offers to pad his rallies.
Sounds like the talk of frightened people.
Instead you both might want to use some facts, instead of pure emotion.
Uh, these are facts. Look them up on a reliable news site. Trump has alienated almost everyone in the entire voting base. They have spoken out about it.
Facts: Trump has significant support from uneducated white men. Trump has relatively low support from women and minorities. It is virtually impossible to win without at least moderate support from those groups. Nothing emotional about it.

In 2016, we had a Trump candidate on the GOP along with 16 other candidates running for President. Trump jumped into the mix because he believed non of the other 16 candidates can beat Hillary and the Democratic machine including the biased media...He also said the main reason he is running is to...

During the democratic primaries, Bernie Sanders was accused of allegedly saying, to Elizabeth Warren personally in 2018, that he thought a woman could never be president. I personally think he was being set up with that loaded question to be honest, as I feel like that question alone tells me...

The field is big (23), the stakes are high (defeat Trump), and the race is long (13 months until the Democratic convention). As a Democratic voter, I am keeping an open mind at this early date. As a political junkie, I am fascinated by the dynamics of who rises to the top and who fades away. Biden's...
