Do you think the U.S. sending troops to Poland will cause problems with Russia?
We used to have more than five divisions (approximately 30 brigades) in Europe. They were there for 50+ years, until the late 1990s, to observe and deter. We've just sent one heavy brigade combat team under much more threatening circumstances. In my opinion, we shouldn't have left in the first place if for no other reason that it was great support for our involvement in the Middle East.
