Is the United States currently more divided than ever before in terms of politics, class, gender,
religion & race? Why? Why not?
I'd say no. There seems to be less sides than ever if you ask me. In the past you had some of these folks and some of those folks who might be willing to work with others politically....and then financially it's seeming that there are less and less in the middle thus again creating less division. Same with race.
The divide may be larger than ever but the divisions are shrinking to a basic 2 maybe 3 sides. Once there are 2, civil war is a larger possibility than it has been since the last.
When people are divided among many areas, beliefs, etc....it makes it hard for them to unify but once you can get them onto 2 basic grounds/beliefs, it's possible to mobilize and the other defend. Sad but this is what I fear today
