    He has fallen short on economic reform (banks will MOST LIKELY go back to doing business as usual once the financial crisis is over) and most importantly, on THE PUBLIC OPTION in HEALTHCARE REFORM.

      Nice article. A health care bill with the public option is nearly impossible to pass (due to the Senate Blue Dog Democrats) unless the Senate uses reconciliation and have at 51 votes for it.

        Of course. I expected a health care reform plan with a public option. Sorry. Disagree with you there.

    some of the words to the song "High Hopes":

    "So, any time your feelin' bad, 'stead of feelin' sad, just remember that ram
    Oops, there goes a billion-kilowatt dam
    (Oops, there goes a billion-kilowatt dam)
    {Oops, there goes a billion-kilowatt dam }

    (A problem's just a toy balloon, they'll be bursted soon)
    (They're just bound to go pop)

    Oops, there goes another problem ker-plop
    (Oops, there goes another problem ker-plop)
    {Oops, there goes another problem ker-plop}
    (Ker-plop!)"

    That's your problem, government can't fix a problem, it can only become the problem.  Did you really think they could pass "reform" that didn't include political payoffs?

      No he doesn't, he's conscienceless.  I saw his first speech after the Fort Hood shootings.  That man has no feelings for anyone except what he considers a worthy cause.  He'll talk all day about the "poor" and "uninsured" but if it has something to do with our military, screw them.  If it has something to do with helping small business, screw them.  After all those groups don't support him anyway, why should he care.

      That is not the mark of a man who has a good heart.

    HUBBERS
    It's all about me Barack Obama '' let me be clear ''
    It's been very quiet since the healthcare reform bill was passed. The press is keeping the problems in the background except for the big companies complaining about the cost.

    The jobs for the private sector, nowhere in sight after 17 months. Unemployment went up to 9.9% from  9.7%. President Obama said we are coming out of the recession ( the one he says he inherited with a democrat controlled congress 2007,2008,2009 and now 2010 ).

      JHon - It's so sad that reality contradicts the dark cloud you want to spin around the silver lining of an economic recovery.

      There was a gain of 290,000 jobs.
      That's up from a revised 230,000 jobs in March.
      That's the best monthly gain since March 2006.
      After 2 years of job losses, the economy has gained jobs in 5 of the last 6 months.
      There have been job gains this year of 573,000 jobs.
      This number is inflated by 66,000 temp jobs working on the census. Aven if you take those jobs out, it's a half-million jobs gained so far this year.

      The desparation with which you cling to bad news and try to darken Obama's victories is PATHETIC.

    These are the numbers that were reported by the Government to the Media.

    How does one argue that the Economy is improving when the number of unemployed is increasing.  Oh yeah... wait the pretend paper on the stock market.
