Wolff's "Fire and Fury" Got It Right Regarding Trump Investigation

Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" was compiled in 2017, well before the recent April 2018 revelations surrounding the investigation into Trump, his campaign, and his associates.  Wolff has been criticized for a lot of unsourced or unattributed statements in his book.

But what I found was that no one to my knowledge denied the quotes attributed to them and only one said Wolff revealed an off-the-record comment, which is being debated.  With that said, I am finding many things in his book which at the time they were written was speculation, but now that time has passed are being revealed as being fact.

    For example,

    * on page 278 he has parenthetically about Michael Cohen, Trump's personal lawyer that "(reportedly a target of the Mueller investigation)". On 4/13/2018, it was revealed that Cohen has been under criminal investigation for some time now.

    * He quotes Bannon as saying to his friends at a dinner party that "Your realize where he [Mueller] is going. This is all about 'money laundering'. Mueller chose Weissmann (a lawyer) first and he is a money laundering guy (with many prominent convictions under is belt including Enron). Their path to fucking Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr., and Jared Kushner ... It goes through Deutsche Bank and all the Kushner shit ..." after a pause Bannon said "They're sitting on a beach trying to stop a Category Five [hurricane]"

The book is full of that and is flat out fascinating.

Has anyone else read the book? What do you think of it?

Alright now My Esoteric, we have got to reach some kind of understanding here. I don't have unlimited free reading time!

Based on my perception of the reviews, and my perception of the Fire and Fury author's bias, I wouldn't spare the time to read it.

But ... my perspectives have benefited from each of your other "read" recommendations, so, I will give Fire and Fury  a shot. But ... be forewarned, if it turns out as I expect, I'm gonna give you hell for recommending it just because it fits your perspective of politics.

I listened to the audio book "Fire and Fury" and afterwards learned that the author had made glaring mistakes. But I still think it's an interesting book only because Bannon is one of the biggest leakers in the WH at the time before he was banned from the WH.

Ptosis - Do you have some examples of some of those mistakes? I haven't found anything yet (I have about 10 pages to go) that seemed material.

GA - I'm glad you found the other books worthwhile enough to try again.

I think you will find it a very interesting read, if nothing else.  Some pundit said that if only 1/2 of it were true, it is still a bombshell.  Much of the general gist I already knew before he released the book, and as I said in the preamble to this forum, much has come to light in the last few months.

As to the detail of what people said, all I can go on is nobody that I am aware of has refuted it.
