This investigation is going off the rail.
Mueller has a short memory. It was a mere 20 years ago that Clinton was impeached...
Dragged the country down the road in a two years distraction...eventually lead to the attack of 9/11.
This obstruction of justice, if exist, does not rise to the “high crime and misdemeaner” charges needed to impeach a president.
Where is Mueller going with this?
If he is smart, he should quit while he is ahead, IMHO.

It is not Mueller's job to decide whether or not to begin impeachment proceedings. He will, in the end, issue a report on the findings of his investigation. Then it will be up to our Congress to decide.

No, it won't.  Only half will make the decision - the other half is already slavering for anything that even comes close to a reason to impeach.

You know, you really haven't been paying attention if you believe that. As a strategy for Democrats, impeachment is not highly rated.  Trump is already unpopular. Installing Pence as president might give the Republican party a popularity boost.

Impeachment, when viewed purely through the lens of political strategy, might not be the way to go.

Oh I agree that impeachment would be foolish.  So is fighting efforts to stop illegal aliens from entering, or staying, in the country.  So is disarming the population.

Won't stop the efforts to do all three, though.  Anything that even might put the party back into power will be done.  Look at what was done by the party to put HC on the ballot - while (possibly) legal it was certainly unethical and immoral.  One does not have to do the smart thing to gain political power - only convince a gullible population that it is the right thing.

Except the Clinton impeachment was about a legitimate White House crime. Not a internal government fantasy based and departmental run conspiracy and abuse of the powers of White House ,DOJ, FBI , offices .    This comparably is treasonous , conspiratorial and illegal just as the federal court  judges  are now saying loudly .

That is why I say if Mueller is smart...
The more they keep this going, the more it will hurt the Democrats and the Clintons and perhaps even President Obama.

Mueller is doing the job he was given. He will finish the investigation and release his findings. Simple as that.

Yes but with all investigations there is prosecutorial discretion...
He can choose to drag this out or close it.
With all that transpired at the DOJ ans the FBI, you would think he is smart to know when it is time to wrap it up.
There really is no Russian collusion. The bottom line.

As a professional, I assume he believes the smart time to wrap it up would be when the investigation is complete.

Except that it will never BE complete - there will always be political dirt to "leak" - dirt that will hopefully help the Democrats regain the White House.

Really?  Is that a prediction?  That the Mueller investigation is going to go on into infinity?

                    Let me write that down....

The reason you want Mueller to shut down his investigation is you're scared of what he'll find, Jack. Did you and the other Spanky fans raise hell about how long Hillary was investigated?  Of course not! Hypocritical a bit aren't you? lol

No I am pragmatic. It seems when there is nothing there, you stop digging.
With Hillary, there was more there...simple as that.

Are you privy to everything Mueller knows?  If so, please let us in on how you have gained such privileged access.  We want to know, too.

Huh!  And there I thought his "job" was to find out of Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government to fix the election.

Sure, are you privy to all the info he has on the subject?  And, "Trump campaign."

What in the world does that to do with straying far, far from the task he was assigned to?

You didn't actually say anything about that, but as far as we know, he is still doing his "job."
