Ms. Zephyr  Rain Teachout is the latest, in effect, a  perfect example of the "new kid on the block" that hopes to represent the current movement toward socialism in the Democratic party. Zephyr is running for Attorney General of New York.   Zephyr is certainly not the first of the of female candidates, campaigning around the nation on a very liberal agenda.  She emerges like most that have her like ideology from mere anonymity.  She reveals the very depths of dissatisfaction with establishment politics and the people that are presently running the country. Her dislike for President Trump is palpable and can be well felt in her campaign speeches. One of Zephyr's biggest gripe is with ICE, she has a very liberal agenda, and recently added abolishing ICE or arresting them? -  "I will personally prosecute ICE for their criminal acts".   (video resource link below).

A bit about the candidate, Zephyr Teachout presently is an Associate Law Professor at Fordham Law School. Her education is impressive, graduated summa cum laude, Duke Law School MA,  Political Science, Duke UniversityBA, Yale University. She has thrown her hat in the ring on two other occasions.  Her first run was against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in the 2014s gubernatorial primaries. and again in 2016, she ran for Congress.  She is currently running for Attorney General of New York.  Is Ms. Teachout the new face of the Democratic party or maybe not?

Question -  Do you believe ICE should be abolished?

Question -  Are Candidates with socialist leaning agendas the new face of the Democratic party?  How do you personally feel about where the party is headed, and do they have a meaningful agenda that will appeal to citizens?

    Q. "How do you personally feel about where the party is headed, and do they have a meaningful agenda that will appeal to citizens?"

    How do you?

It is an issue with problems. What are the problems?

To answer your questions we need to know the facts. What are they? Here is what wikipedia offered:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Immi … nforcement

    For instance:

ICE has counted 107 deaths in detention from October 2003 to 2007. The New York Times and the American Civil Liberties Union recently obtained documents detailing the circumstances of these deaths, under the Freedom of Information Act. 'The documents show how officials—some still in key positions—used their role as overseers to cover up evidence of mistreatment, deflect scrutiny by the news media or prepare exculpatory public statements after gathering facts that pointed to substandard care or abuse,' The New York Times reported..."

(The result of a simple lack of morals on the part of trained ICE staff in positions of power, I suppose. It happens. Even though it shouldn't.)

Who cares about FAIRLY/JUSTLY patrolling the border, if not the right? Certainly not the left as they are concerned about the human rights of all people despite laws in place to protect the country. Seems like politics per usual to me.

Zephyr Teachout is just capitalizing on the issue to make a name for herself, to jump in the game.
Her name is ridiculous. It will destroy her chances to be taken seriously.
    Well, Good.

No, I do not believe she is the new face. There will be no new face. Why? I don't know. They (those of the left) are floundering as they have been
    and they always will.

What are their core values? Can they be on the same page?
    Is hatred of Trump enough?
    No, I don't think so.

If the Democratic Party wanted a new face it would delve into how to cure welfare fraud.

Well, the Republican efforts to deal with these long-standing social problems are mostly punitive. Actually, many Republican policies are the root cause of these problems. Cutting the education budgets results in the poor schools in the inner cities giving an inferior education, resulting in people being unable to get jobs. That's just one example.

What courses do you feel are not being taught as a result of budget cuts, that would provide better job skills?

It isn't cut funding that's leaving our kids below average , it's all of the funding going to teacher salary and benefits !

Anybody remember 1984 Reagan / Mondale ? Mondale won Minn. only in the electoral voting .   I see a reflection in 2020 .
The media was way off then too.
    Fake Media Lives .

America is restless. We have a general feeling of discontent. The news media fans the flames. America does not feel that its government is spending enough of its time working for the good of the people.

So, yeh. I think these socialist radicals may get some traction and since the Democratic party is floundering at the moment they'll latch on hard. Democrat voters who hate Trump will too. A few will be elected at lower levels, whine about all the good they'd do if they only had more power....get educated about how against tax increases everyone is, get corrupted like everyone else in Washington and eventually tow the standard Democrat party line. I don't see their agenda changing the face of America.

And, no. ICE should not be abolished and any radical who gains elected office and starts harassing them should be jailed, themselves. That's the biggest problem in America today. People arrogantly assuming their opinion should supersede law and their opinions being based on little more than emotion.

Democratic Socialism , Why are they then engaging so heavily in capitalism when they are at this moment engaging in "fundraising "  $ 2, 500 a plate in Californika ?
