No one has talked about other countries....we are only discussing this one....the U.S.  and the collective denial of its true legacy by a great percentage, if not majority, of Americans...

It wasn't directed towards you texan....  but you have diverted and skirted from discussing real issues too....  Just rhetoric...

What are the issues? Last night you wanted examples of Obama's incompetence and when you got them you blamed Bush. I don't care if Dick Cheny profited from the war or not, I'm a capitalist, I say make as much as you can! Wounded Knee happened long ago and is not effecting anyone today. California has a cradle to the grave mentality, government can erase all problems except its growing debt because of that way of thinking. I am in a State that operates in the black the people moving to Texas are those Californians fleeing that way of thinking, they want the money they have to actually get them somewhere. I am not gonna answer every issue that you think is important because I simply don't care, I got mine get yours!

What was exposed, the dipshit got arrested for trying to plant a wire tap, does his crime somehow diminish ACORNS crimes?

What crimes?  There are only allegations and some individuals who have done wrong.  ACORN has not bombed any other countries and profited from rebuilding them.  They did not, despite what Fox news says, get Obama elected through vote fraud - and I have yet to see even a convincing explanation of how they would have pulled that off.  ACORN did not lie to the entire American public about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.  They didn't spy on American citizens and arrest citizens without charges or access to a lawyer.

Exactly...I showed the inheritance that can outweigh what a person can do...especially in the eyes of a critical media (Fox news)..

There are deeper trends bringing people to Texas....the California ports are gradually going to lose out to trained in goods from Mexico...regardless if they come from China or not...

Look across your border into Mexico...what do you see going on over there???

Foxnews Blah blah blah, Its a top story on their website so not sure what you mean.

Money is the motivating factor for moving to Texas, those Californians moved here and paid me a lot to upgrade their McMansions. I can certainly do with out the typical Californian but I loved their money.

Only thing I see happening in Mexico is what I saw 25 years ago, people coming here for a better life, not too many headed to Cuba!

I know what Maquilas are they have been around for more than 40 years. And?

    mikelongposted 15 years ago

So are you saying the maquila situation of the 1960s and 70's is comparable to post 1990??

Most of them didn't even exist...and cities like Juarez were minescule compared to today...

evidently you don't know as much as you are trying to show...or you don't really care about truth....

    It's too bad either way...

I had to close down my muffin shop to become Obama's new Porn Czar.  There was a conflict of interest in dealing with both muffs and muffins.
