There are some Black Americans who staunchly, even vehemently proclaimed that Blacks in America, specifically ADOS(American descendants of slaves), should received financial compensation for the years of being enslaved, not to mention subsequent years of racial inequality & oppression.   Many Black American nationalists went reparations in the millions of dollars, stating that the monies are there to compensate Black Americans. What they fail to realize is that America has a deficit.  America is exhausted financially.  What is the point of reparations?  Why are some Black Americans on board w/this?   Some Black American pundits are pushing the issue of reparations in the political arena.  They are contending that they aren't about to support any politician unless h/she supports reparations.

It's this kind of  hate garbage that got "nationalists" BANNED on Facebook and elsewhere: I'm just surprised Hubpages continues to allow this kind of divisive propaganda on their site: I don't know what country you live in gmwilliams nor do I care or what your true motive is, but just like Clowny McTrump, maybe someday you'll understand the HISTORY of African Americans here in the USA:

Jake isn't too bright - he's a propagandist who earns money from posting things that anger people so they engage.
He has no clue about history and when confronted with pure facts, cannot defend his point.
I asked him point blank to divulge his credentials for being such a know-it-all, and all the sudden he stopped responding to me except with insults and more propaganda and Trump-hate.

I think the idea of reparations are a foolish political stunt - it's been discussed before, and will certainly be discussed again.

One of my multi-great grandparents was a Neanderthal, wiped out by modern man moving into his territory.

I WANT REPARATIONS, and from everyone that can't trace every ancestor to Africa, and ONLY Africa.

You're actually wrong about everything RJ: The ONLY person who is angering people in the USA and causing massive insane division is the 72 year old nationalist nut case wandering around in our oval office in between golf games:

From HISTORY, I'm well aware of how Christians traveled to Africa to shackle and drag fellow human beings back to the United States which by the way, they decimated the Native Americans to control, only to be used abominably as SLAVES and now we have a RACIST lurking in our oval office who probably has no clue about it nor does he care:

Clowny Trump and his Russian Communist Republicans are desperately and maniacally trying to uninstall our entire Health-Care System behind closed doors leaving MILLIONS including children without Health-Care: I can't think of a better reason to HATE him and republicans and the overwhelming majority of Americans are with me: Are we supposed to send him flowers and chocolates for sabotaging our Health? Is that actually what you expect? I'll leave that to his last remaining followers:

There are several other reasons to hate him as well, that's just one example:

You're aware, of course, that most slavers simply bought their slaves from African tribes?  That both Indians and blacks in the US owned slaves?  That there is no indication of racism from Trump?

And, of course, that the biggest divisive force currently operating in the country is the people that sit back, call names and otherwise vilify the only president we've had in decades that actually tries to do something right for the country?  That refuses to even acknowledge the good things done in favor of crying sour grapes over a legal election and the slowing of socialism in a free country?

Maybe In upside down Bozo Trump-land his last remaining followers consider a concerted attempt by him and communist loving republicans to TAKE Away Health-Insurance from millions of Americans "Doing Something Right For The Country": So, which country is that Russia? Because here in the USA any evil clown like Mr. Trump who does the work of the dark one is considered an abomination:

And here's the abomination in action: No evidence that Donald is a RACIST?: You must be joking right? Someone really should advise him to keep his tiny little hands at his side when speaking in public and maybe try to look a little more presidential instead of looking like a circus clown all the time:

                And MORE Laws Broken:

"Trump Plaza fined $200,000 for discrimination"

???  Are you trying to claim that there AREN'T black Americans that are demanding that people innocent of any wrongdoing be forced to give them money because someone dead 100 years ago enslaved their g'g'g'grandparent?

Or are you saying that taking notice of those demands is wrong - that they should be ignored as if never made?

Or is you stance that American is NOT running a deficit so the post was a lie?

Just what ARE you trying to say?  Because nothing came through except another irrelevant dig at Trump - something that had exactly nothing to do with the OP.

I can guarantee that any monetary outlay would solve nothing, do more harm than good in the minds of the people demanding it and would create more problems than it solved.

Future quote from Al Sharpton: "Well, yes, Congress authorized $100 billion to be distributed to African Americans - this is a good start....."

Picking on Jake because you do not like the content of his comments? Rightwingers suck and Trump is on the top of the list. And on that point we agree.

I have read plenty of corrosive comments from the Rightwing side of the ledger, how about some focus on those?

Reparations are politically impractical. The white man was responsible for the theft of land and decimation of Native American populations, of course no one living today is responsible. But will those living today that took possession of stolen property return it to its rightful owners to acknowledge the wrong? I doubt it. So don't give me this red herring stuff, the past is ALWAYS relevant. Do any of you get the gist of this?

Against it politically, but not morally or ethically.
