    Matt Shea is a Republican representative in the Washington House of Representatives.

    "The Republican politician Matt Shea connected close allies with a group offering training to young men in “biblical warfare” that includes how to use knives, pistols and rifles, with lessons based in part on the teachings of a Georgia-based neo-Confederate pastor, emails obtained by the Guardian reveal.

    Shea, who is an elected Washington state representative, later made videos in support of the group, and appeared alongside them at a gathering at a religious community in remote eastern Washington. He also paid the founder of the group money from his campaign fund in 2018 . . .

    Shea was also in the news in 2018, after distributing a document titled "Biblical Basis for War". Here's an extract from the document:

    ". . . surrender on terms of justice and righteousness:
    1. Stop all abortions;
    2. No same-sex marriage;
    3. No idolatry or occultism;
    4. No communism; and
    5. Must obey Biblical law
    If they do not yield – kill all males
    ".

    He was in the news again in April this year, when it was found he had discussed "violent attacks and surveillance" on political enemies.

    "A Washington state Republican politician took part in private discussions with right wing figures about carrying out surveillance, 'psyops' and even violent attacks on perceived political enemies, according to chat records obtained by the Guardian . . .

    In response to a request in the chat for background checks on Spokane residents, Shea volunteered to help, going on to name three individuals – including an organizer for the liberal group Indivisible, and a college professor.

          It's the line that says "If they do not yield – kill all males" that gets me. This is a real Republican official responsible for shaping the laws of a state.

            That one sounds like something from the cabal in Congress.  Or Wisconsin.

                Does it not sound like something from the Koran?  The old testament, too, but that isn't being pushed too much as the basis for a legal system.

      What in the hell is biblical warfare? Are there actually people dumb enough to buy into this stuff?

      Hopefully even most right wingers are not that stupid, but again, on second thought.......

      The source of more body counts, how much more do we have to endure before the Right gets it head out of the sand?
