when bernie sanders wins the election, what job will you hold in his Socialist Republic? it will be just like China within 10 years !!!
When Bernie wins? Are you watching Faux News again Ralph? What did I tell you about that? Neither Obama or Hillary won these two non-representative states and still won the nomination.
Or do you know something we don't?
Perhaps he knows what the DNC wants to see. That matters far more than any silly voting, after all!
That's what YOU believe, Dan. We all know the Russians want Trump to win. No doubt!

Great response, Dan. Praps yew kin larn me sumthin', Mr scholar?
Not according to WaPo and CNN. It's Russia Russia Russia.all over again, and they have decided they want Bernie to win. I guess because he has similar ideas as Putin. Do we need to call Mueller back?
Don't get all pissed at me. Could things get even crazier?
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/02/21/poli … index.html
They want Bernie to win the Democratic primary, just like they did in 2016. The difference is, Bernie has already acknowledged and condemned it, unlike Trump, who welcomed it in private and publicly denied it.
So, his acknowledgment does that stop Russia? Bernie should welcome the help, his party sure is not behind him. Even though it's clear he has the support of the people. Nothing new they are just repeating their 2016 grift. The Dem's playbook is predictable, old, stale. I have to give it to them on this one, pulling the only once used Russia, Russia, Russia on their own. One would think they would retire the Russia bit. It didn't work with Trump, hopefully, it won't work with Bernie.
And actually Trump did admit Russia was sticking their noses in the 2016 election, as well as China, and"many other countries, and he added they have been for years". I think that covered it from the get-go.
"Bernie should welcome the help"
Typical Trump cultist, thinking everyone is as corrupt as Dear Leader.
I don't agree with Trump in regard to Bernie needing Russia's help. He really needs his party to get behind him. He certainly has a good size base. To bad the Dems just don't respect the voice of the people.
You just said above that Bernie should welcome Russia's help.
"Bernie should welcome the help, his party sure is not behind him."
Are you walking that back now? And the rest is you spouting Russia's nonsense.
"Bernie should welcome the help, his party sure is not behind him". (I was being sarcastic)
I was making a stab at being serious in regards to --- "I don't agree with Trump in regard to Bernie needing Russia's help. He really needs his party to get behind him. He certainly has a good size base. To bad the Dems just don't respect the voice of the people."
He is doing well and seems to be ahead of the "pack". The people's choice should matter. Perhaps time for the Dems to get on board with Bernie.
Randy - you and I both know that Bernie has no chance of winning or even getting the nomination. We've had our differences, but I'm sure you can agree that allowing a Communist to take over, would destroy what's left of the Party. Trump will easily beat anyone the Democrats have put up so far. My bet is that Mike Bloomberg gets the nomination in a brokered convention and Bernie get's 2 houses this time around for falling on his sword and convincing his voting block to support Bloomy.
Nope, I don't know if Bernie can win or not, Ralph. Bernie's a Socialist, not a Communist. Between a socialist and a dictator, I'll choose the former every time.
Please explain how Sanders is a Communist.
Already asked him if he knew the difference, Crank. Perhaps he's boning up on it in the meantime.
That's you picking your nose, Joey! I'd recognize you anywhere!
Still trying to figure out who I am. Sad...
Enjoy your day of insulting total strangers.
I know enough about you to know I don't want to know you, Joey.
You seem to be so sensitive.
Don't worry about Randy - he insults everyone, whether he knows you or not
If being called ignorant of a subject is an insult, then I plead guilty, Ralph. You admitted yourself you're ignorant of some things, as are we all.
Joey seems to think asking him a question regarding his claims are insults, just as do many of his ilk. "How dare you ask me to prove my claims!"
I know that. He's been doing the same thing for ten years. Sad...
The same amount of time you've been avoiding questions, Joey.
Could you please explain, RJ, how Bernie is a Communist?
Ralph has been asked this several times, Crank. He apparently doesn't know the difference between a communist and a socialist.
Sorry for not being Johnny on the spot Randy - I'm not a full time writer or hubber & my job keeps me busy earning a living and all.
I don't care what Bernie calls himself or what he convinces his supporters to believe. His actions 'out' him as a red. But, in the spirit of good conversation, the following list is what supports my assessment that Sanders is a communist.
In 1964 - a young doe-eyed Bernie was attending the U of Chicago when he was organizing for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities. (strike 1)
After graduating he went on to head the American People’s History Society - an organization for Marxist propaganda. (strike 2)
Remember when Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies. (Sounds Communist to me, strike 3)
Let's not forget the trips he took to the USSR, Cuba and Nicaragua, where the Soviets were trying to expand their influence in our hemisphere, while his home nation of America was involved in a Cold War (strike 4). Communists in one country see themselves in solidarity with Communists in other countries. Communists distrust Nationalistic nations and leaders.
Bernie went to Managua, in celebration, when Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government took over in what he called a “heroic revolution.” (once again undermining the anti-communist US policy, so strike 5)
Sanders also adopted a Soviet sister city outside Moscow and honeymooned with his second wife in the USSR. (Not a strike, but an act of total lunacy)
He flies a Soviet flag in his office. (again, not a strike, but it did lead to many questions)
In 1989 Bernie addressed the national conference of the US Peace Council (a known front for the Communist Party USA) whose members swore an oath not only to the Soviet Union but to “the triumph of Soviet power in the US.” (strike)
Bernie wants to completely nationalize our health care system while simultaneously putting private health insurance and drug companies “out of business.” He also wants to break up “big banks” and control the energy industry, while providing “free” college tuition, a “living wage” and guaranteed home ownership and jobs to everyone through massive public works projects. When government is used to control the facets of the economy, it shifts from socialism to communism. Notice he fails to talk about how the profits all these sectors of the economy will be used (not redistributed like socialist philosophy dictates)
Reviewing the Sanders platform shows it to be hopelessly Utopian and detrimental to the nation. It will extinguish freedom and shutter businesses and cause widespread suffering especially among the poor people he claims to want to help. Sounds like a rejection of free markets and extreme distrust of capitalism in any form; a hallmark of communism.
Communism is a political movement whose adherents believe that markets are fundamentally unjust and that revolutionary violence should be used to overthrow the existing order and attain a classless society. In the speech that kicked off his presidential campaign, Sanders embraced the communist idea that markets are not just bad for people but are fundamentally unjust.
He called Obamacare a step towards forcing the U.S. to “join the rest of the industrialized world and guarantee health care to all as a right.” (Not surprisingly, the Constitution of the Soviet Union also treated health care as a basic right.)
When he was mayor he was investigated by the FBI for his ties to Marxist groups.
And finally - In 1972, Sanders, was visiting an alternative high school in Rutland, Vermont, to give his campaign pitch. During a question-and-answer session, Sanders said, and I quote "I don't mind people coming up and calling me a communist."
Now, enjoy throwing bombs at me and stabbing my argument with your childish sharpened sticks and insults.
Still waiting on that list of your degrees and certifications Randy....Can't understand why you refuse to share them with us. Maybe they are like the Obama transcripts.......
I've already said I had degrees from two colleges, Ralph. You must have been out and about. Still waiting for you to explain the difference in a socialist and a communist.
As I said before, neither of us has a political science degree, so I don't know what you want to hear.
Notice, no stabbing with "sharpened sticks" or insults either. hate to disappoint you, Ralph.
Communism is an extreme form of socialism. Since the Cold War, many people use the two terms interchangeably, and they are very similar, however a few differences exist on paper. Understanding that when discussing ideologies, what happens in reality does not always mirror the ‘textbook’ descriptions. Both systems have similar philosophical bases; with the main tenet being ‘each according to their abilities.” In layman’s terms, it means everyone contributes as much as they can to the collective, so that everyone can reap a portion of the benefits.
Communism is a political system in which private property has been abolished and all means of production are owned by a highly centralized government. There is only one Party, led by a totalitarian Dictator and often a group of advisors, who do long-range central planning. Everyone is considered equal and no bias exists between the sexes, different genders, and different races; at least this is the theory. Communism is usually globally focused and communists across the world seem to have a bond between them. The ideal or textbook goal of Communism is to have no leader; it is expected to be stateless, classless, and is governed by the people themselves (self-governed). Throughout history, Communism has never achieved this level of sharing. The reality is that all the power gets consolidated in the hands of very few people and the general population never sees an equitable distribution of the rewards of their inputs. Additionally there is no religion.
Socialism is a hybrid economic system that can exist in various forms under a wide range of political systems. In modern times, the term has been diluted and made vague by combining it with other terms such as Democratic Socialism, Market Socialism or other variants. The means of production are owned by the collective with all citizens sharing in the economic gains made across all industries. Every citizen has access to all basis needs (basic needs are defined differently depending on who you ask) which can, in some cases, include housing, communications equipment, food and water, and anything else deemed a ‘right’. Individuals are allowed to own some private property, but not any private businesses. Production decisions are made by the state and often are not connected to the basic economic principle of supply and demand. True Socialism has only been successfully demonstrated on a very small scale because of basic human nature. Some people are unwilling to contribute at the same levels as others, and those who are smarter or harder workers will eventually demand a larger part of the output.
Human beings are self-centered. We see this time and time again when people are put in positions of great power. The likelihood they abuse that power is extremely high. This is where both ideologies fail; the people in charge morph from being ‘for the people’ to being Dictator for life.
Socialism is already being used in our country as roads and other infrastructure depend on it. Also, public schools and Social Security are also social programs. All successful countries use social programs to some extent.
You are correct that all successful countries use socialism to some extent.
And unsuccessful ones use it to a greater extent. As we progress, every year, and there does not seem to be an end of that progression towards that point, there would seem to be a problem...to those that care to look beyond today and into the future - a future that is not far off. Unfortunately the goal of liberals in this country do not seem to care and will continue the progression until the country fails. As every country that has done that has failed.
I disagree, Dan. What we have under Trump is a dictatorship, even less desired than socialism by a long shot.
Gross exaggeration, far removed from any reality, does little to help your position or your veracity.
I feel the same about your denials of the cretin's actions. You're aiding and abetting a criminal, in my opinion.
This is one bet I would take, and bet big... Bernie will never win the election. For the very fact his own party as well as the media, have him in their crosshairs. Today they WAPO claims Russia is going to help Bernie win the election. That should give you an idea about his chances. It's the Dem's once again shouting --- Russia, Russia, Russia, but it's poor Bernie this time around., And they have also claimed Russia is once again helping Trump. So who is Russia Helping??? LOL
Every time the Dems come up with a new form of ridiculous, I think, wow this has got to be "the best one yet"... Wrong
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/02/21/poli … index.html
So RJ, please rest easy, Bernie will not be the next president. Not even with Russia's help. He may try again in 2024 maybe the third time will be the charm. Although, I guess it will once again not be up to the voters, but the DNC. So, poor Bernie most likely would feel the wrath of "three strikes your out:".
The Problem with millionaire Bernie running on taxing the Billionaires...
The Billionaires will never pay... they have the accountants and lawyers and ability to move their money overseas... only the ignorant could believe a President will ever be able to control the Billionaires and Trillionaires.
Presidents are controlled by the Billionaires, with the exception of when a President is also a Billionaire... that is what makes Trump special, he is a billionaire and he tells the likes of Soros and Steyer to go F themselves, and they hate him for it. They can't influence him by 'donating' a few million bucks.
And the corrupt cronies in D.C. hate him... because one after another they are being exposed by him... like Joe and Hunter Biden have been.
Man they are going to have a real problem when racist, sexist, fascist billionaire Bloomberg gets in... oh wait, that's right, Bernie will win... just like he did last time, only the DNC fixed that problem then, and they will fix it now.
Because the DNC is controlled by the Billionaires and Trillionaires, and they will never allow Bernie to win. Unless of course, they have total control over him, and he is just their front-man.
Trust me, Bernie is never going to be president. He is too far left for many Americans, especially in the middle & southern states. C'mon now. Bernie will never win. The Democrats will see to that. Bernie is too radical for the Democratic taste. The Democrat Party will do anything to subvert Bernie from being a Democratic candidate.
The word on the street is that the DNC is hoping for a brokered convention so they can give Mike Bloomberg the nomination (he's already been in high level meetings with big NY and Wall Street donors & said he would spend up to $2 Billion of his own money to beat his arch enemy Trump) - sounds a lot like someone buying the nomination to me....
Bernie Sanders won't win. There is a 100% chance of four more years of Trump.
Of course Bernie won't win - but he looks to win the Democratic Primary unless they cheat him out of it again in a brokered convention - he's currently the favorite and leading by 10 points in Nevada
Are you claiming none of Bernie's supporters have a job, Joey? What about you, do you have a job?
You make over 50 posts a day, and you're asking me if I have a job?
I worked over 50 years, Joey. Living of the fruits of my labor presently. What's your excuse?
Afraid to answer as usual, eh Joey? You've never had a job, and I'm sure your life is just as happy as the silly memes you post here.
I knew you were afraid to answer, Joey, you always have been.
Why don't you get it over with and ask me out instead of stalking me.
Using the old "you're stalking me" excuse for not answering my query again, little Joey? It doesn't work now, just as it never has. Come up with a better excuse, or why not simply tell the truth? Too difficult for you to manage?
Ask you out where?
And what are your plans for today? Ignore your family, sit at a desk all day and insult people you will probably never meet.
Remember Joey, we don't answer questions.
And you can't.
We aren't Venezuela. No wonder you can't answer anything! You don't know where you are.
That's very observant of you, Enjoy your day of sitting there insulting people you don't know.
Okay, have fun stalking people you don't want to know.
Why would anyone stalk you, Joey? You obviously have nothing to offer but copied memes.
Deleted
Nope, farmed and preformed construction work, Ken. I'll bet you've never had your hands dirty.
Presumably you understand that the tax rate on somebody making minimum wage would not be 52%, right?
This sort of thing not only spreads misinformation but leads to math illiteracy, one of the leading causes of idiocy.
Isn't that the primary purpose of most memes? To spread misinformation?
Probably. I think the purpose can often be to condense a lot of information into a small space and make people feel like they've learned something or to confirm a bias with something out of context.
Always sounds great on paper. Turns to crap in practice every time. I know, I know, it'll be different this time.......
I hear it's working pretty well in Seattle, but economically speaking, it doesn't seem like it can work.
Then again, maybe we should just get rid of the minimum wage altogether and let the market decide.
"Now that there's funny, I don't care who you are."
Not the text, the picture.
GA
Nice... Nothing like hitting them right smack in the face with the facts. And just think how wonderful it would be if we all made so little per week. Wonder how many businesses would make it without anyone having cash to spend on anything but food... LOL
And anyone with cash would pretty much take it as far away from America as possible.
Your comment is sobering. It should cut through even the foggiest of minds.
There is a problem with that meme Sharlee'
Does Sanders’ Medicare for All plan raise taxes to 52% on incomes over $29,000?
"In short, no. One proposal offered by Sanders would raise the tax rate to 52% on earnings over $10 million. Sanders also proposed that the first $29,000 of a person’s income would be exempt from taxes, and a 4% income-based premium would be applied to earnings over $29,000.'
If there is going to be any fact-slapping, folks better make sure their 'slapper' is loaded.
GA
One learns to pay Joey's memes no attention as far as facts are concerned. Apparently Shar hasn't learned this yet.
GA, I have done some research other than what I had picked up from the last debate where Mayor Pete and Bernie had a back and forth on taxes going up on anyone making $29,000. I have had a look at Bernie's tax proposal at Brenieta%. I stand corrected, and justly so.
But that's okay because in communism you don't have to worry about spending money on food. There isn't any.
Are you really as simple-minded as your memes suggest?
Oh, that's right, they're designed to tickle the amygdales of Trump supporters.
Pretty panther, don't take it personally that your preferred economics model is crap. It's not your fault. It's okay, this is a safe space.
I don't recall stating my preferred economic model. Making $hi! up yourself now, eh? I guess that's a step up from parroting memes for your Russian masters.
It's okay, we know you love Bernie even though he supported Fidel Castro, Venezuela, and the Soviets.
And we know you love Putin by your memes, Joey.
Pray tell, who is "we"? And no, I don't love Bernie; he is pretty far down the list of my preferred candidates. Of course, I do vastly prefer him over your fellow Putin lover.
We'll see come election time. Of course your party's super-delegates decide who wins, not the people. Also, i'm not a Republican, as I've said many times.
I don't. You're just so far to the left you think everything else is die hard Republican.
Sure you do, Joey. All of your memes are pro-Trump.
That's because you think everything that advocates for a free and open market is pro Trump when it's just common sense. Sorry your favorite economics model is crap.
Common sense Trump is an oxymoron, Joey. And you're still a Trump supporter no matter how many times you deny it.
I don't think Bernie is going to win. So Bernie can campaign as much as he likes it's not getting him an entry into the White House.
I'm not as sure as you are - there are an awful lot of people that will rationalize taking what another has built, to use for themselves, simply because they don't want to put the effort into it themselves. And Bernie is all about that - take from one to give to another. Socialism always sounds great to the "takers", and we're at the point that half our people live, partially or wholly, off of the other half.
Believe it or not, I'm not too thrilled with the idea of Bernie as the nominee. He needs to explain how he's going to pay for his programs
I presume you're aware though, Wilderness, that the debt under Trump has skyrocketed, not gone down, so how exactly do Republicans rationalize taking from our future selves to provide tax cuts now? Just curious.
I don't know - it actually appears to me that Republicans have traveled far enough down the liberal road to not care anymore. To me, debt is one of, if not the major, problems we face but no one on the Hill seems to agree or care any more.
I don't know if it's a liberal road. Seems to me that Republicans have been jacking the debt up for a long time. Seems to me everyone in Washington has been jacking the debt up.
Wasn't it Trump who said something like "debt doesn't matter"?
If by liberal you mean FDR liberal, then okay. He started it. But look at the history of Republicans in office since then. I don't see the debt going down.
The biggest loss I see in the current political climate is the left's ability to laugh, except derisively.
Lighten up.
By "the left," do you mean me with regard to this meme? Because "the left" is far more prevalent in comedy than is "the right."
I laugh at funny things and for something to be funny it must have a modicum of intelligence.
Ha ha. And...do we need to remind people what Trump thinks of Saturday Night Live's comedy?
"'Should Federal Election Commission and/or FCC look into this?"
Yet this cabalistic entity known as "the left" has no sense of humor.
Trump is not the right. He's just one person. Those whose only idea of humour is to laugh at other people and never at themselves is a phenomenon of the modern left.
Trump represents your sense of Right. You chose him, we didn't. Emulate him to your heart's content.
Well "the Trumpers" then, lol. You take one comment and make a decision based on that comment, extrapolate that out to "the left" and then state Trump is just one person so I cannot extrapolate. Up is down and down is sideways.
Really? He enjoys almost 90% approval among Republicans. Are you saying the GOP is no longer the party of conservatives?
Trump is the definition of not being able to laugh at oneself but you ignore the obvious. You obviously haven't watched SNL lately if you think liberals can't laugh at themselves. Their Democrat debate spoofs are priceless.
Trump has never shown any common sense I'm aware of, Joey. But you're in good company if you believe he does.
