To many conservatives, they contend that they no longer have a voice.  They see conservative elements in education & the media for instance are being silenced & shut down.  They are also apprehensive of what is being taught in the schools.  They assert that they are consistently being inculcated with extreme liberal, even leftist ideology.  Your thoughts on this?

One has a voice until they become are too cowardly to use it. I don't at all buy into the media hype that Conservatives are being shut out. I think some are making a futile attempt to push that line of thought.  Strong conservatives look past what I call "silly".

it's because conservatives are seen as lunatics. No one wants to be seen as a lunatic.
For instance, I know many here in the forums think my opinions and reasonings are luny ... and this response is not called for, at all.

I know my neighbor sneers at me because I am a Trump supporter. No one wants to be sneered at. We humans, in general, like harmony and good will.

Whoever reveals conservative opinions is asking for it. The Conservative view is not understood or accepted by those who have no common sense. And they have a tendency to bully, in my experience.

I think people often get confused about what any side is really claiming. If we look at pop-culture, the influencers of both the younger and older generations, we can see that anything leaning right is widely avoided outside of conservative mediums for the sake of coming off as more charming. I've always found that the left is trying to make reality what it should be (saying this loosely), while the right is addressing reality as it is.

Putting it more flowery: Democrats are the rose-colored lenses, while Republicans are the frame of the glasses.

Either way, there is no doubt that right-leaning views get shut down unfairly on a regular basis in public forums. I was once escorted off of a stage by police for claiming transgender people undergoing HRT should not be allowed to serve on the front lines in the military, offering helpful information in a calm and unbiased manner. This was in college, and the funniest part about it was the cops shaking my hand and thanking me for being brave enough to tell the truth afterward.

I've always found the left to be more violent and militant, willing to do whatever it takes to destroy their opponent outright; while I've always found the right to be more devious, and less honest with their intentions. Perhaps brute-force is the way to go, but we all saw how that panned out with Trump.

They have taken the wrong side on too many issues instead of asking WWJD? Yes, you tend to get shut down when you base your opinions on lies and distortions of the truth or leaders who promote falsehoods. Also, being disagreed with is not the same as being persecuted. And, OH NO, not leftist ideology! No conservative I know would ever be mistaken for an extreme liberal. A little liberalism would actually do them a world of good.

I would like to say that conservatives are not loony. Supporting smaller government, lower taxes, tighter immigration and other stalwart conservative views is not loony.

Loony is believing the election was stolen due to massive election fraud when there is no evidence of massive election fraud. Loony is continuing to view an insurrectionist as the leader of your party.

No, conservatives are not loony. People who believe crazy conspiracy theories and continue to believe proven liars....that's another story.

The election was stolen and there is evidence. Trump was not an insurrectionist. It is not loony to believe this, yet believing this is called loony. What is loony is all that Biden is doing. Trump did nothing loony. Trumps actions made total sense.

Conservatives are the adults in the room.
Typically, the most successful are conservative.
