John Dean, the former White House counsel to President Nixon, on Thursday, predicted that former President Trump would soon be indicted after reports have come out that his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen has met with the Manhattan district attorney's office for a number of interviews.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Cohen had met with the Manhattan DA's office for a seventh time as part of a criminal investigation into Trump's finances. Cohen is expected to participate in an eighth meeting in the near future.

“From personal experience, as a key witness, I assure you that you do not visit a prosecutor’s office 7 times if they are not planning to indict those about whom you have knowledge. It is only a matter of how many days until DA Vance indicts Donald & Co,” Dean wrote on Twitter.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance (D) is pursuing a wide-ranging investigation into Trump’s family business and finances.

    More info

Do you think anything is going to happen with this particular investigation? Do you think John Dean could be right?

It is a guessing game at this point, but I would give a lot of weight to Dean's experience-driven perspective.

John Dean is well versed in what one could expect in an ongoing investigation. I would think Cohen could be pulled in often due to him perhaps being part or mentioned in deals that are being looked at now that they have Trump's taxes.  Not sure if they asked Dean his personal opinion on what kind of witness Cohen would make. I think his reputation is poor. However, facts on documents such as taxes will speak volumes, if there is any there - there. It Will be very interesting to see if  Trump is charged with any crimes.

Somewhat related article Dean compared to Cohen as a prospective witness.

Dean is a fall guy. Keep in mind, he took the punches for a price.

Thought the Cohen case would be a slam dunk.  Trump (Individual-1) was already named as a co-conspirator in the same conviction that Cohen served time for.  They have the reimbursement checks for legal services from the Trump Organization given for the hush money payments - which is fraud. They have Trump on tape saying to use cash to pay McDougal.

The tax fraud case should be more in-depth and take more time to show how Trump valued assets differently for tax purposes versus other instances.

What's a sleaze? Simply Cohen and Dean. Better the mother earth open her mouth and swallow them alive. Okay?

Considering Trump ordered Cohen to make illegal payments, I'd say he fits your definition as well.
