Answering as a nationalist: Because we are the greatest country in the entire world. Everyone pales in comparison.
Answering logically, and what I believe: Who ever said it has to be the most beautiful, and best in the world? It is more about the actions a country takes, its economy, its power projection, than it is the flag that needs to be the most beautiful and best. Nonetheless, I'd support a revamping of our flag just to throw a wrench in our symbolic gears.
I don't think it has to be the most beautiful and best in the world. It only as to be the most beautiful and best to American citizens. Every citizen should feel their country's flag is the most beautiful and best in the world.
From a graphic design perspective I prefer the Canadian flag
Me too, i prefer a symbol of growth. Stars and strips feels like world order.
Its only fabrics.
