After four long years of Democrats derided former President Donald Trump’s signature promise to build a wall on the southern border, fighting him on it every step of the way, it appears the  Biden administration now plans to keep adding to it Trump's wall.

It is being reported, although on the down-low that the Biden Administration is considering a return to the construction of the southern border wall.  The plan is to fill the remaining “gaps”  that have become very useful in the last two months by migrants to just walk into America. The gaps have shed light, and become glaring by the sudden immigration crisis.

"Speaking to Immigration and Customs Enforcement staffers last week, according to notes from the meeting reviewed by the Washington Times, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Customs and Border Protection had submitted a plan to his department on what it wanted to see moving forward with wall construction.

“The president has communicated quite clearly his decision that the emergency that triggered the devotion of DOD funds to the construction of the border wall is ended,” the DHS secretary reportedly told the group.

“But that leaves room to make decisions as to the administration, as part of the administration, in particular areas of the wall that need renovation, particular projects that need to be finished.”

Some of that, Mayorkas said, would include “gaps,” “gates” and areas “where the wall has been completed but the technology has not been implemented.” Source ---  https://nypost.com/2021/04/06/mayorkas- … ll-report/

President Trump ---   "Former President Donald Trump celebrated the possible pivot by the Biden administration.

“I think it’s great that they reversed themselves, but a lot of damage was done because we were gonna have that wall almost complete. You know, it delayed two and a half years because of lawsuits,” Trump said in a Tuesday interview on Newsmax.

“We started building it and we were almost finished and then they called an end to it. And it’s, you know, just incredible. But if they agree that they’re going to complete it — there’s very little to complete. If they agree that they’re going to complete it, that’s a great thing. That’s a very positive step.”

I for one am very pleased to see the Biden Administration using good common sense backtracking on their prior decision to stop construction on the wall. In my view, this flip-flop one goes in the plus column for Biden's job performance.

What are your thoughts on this sudden change of plans in regard to continuing work on Trump's signature wall?

I don't know that I would call it "good common sense" - "desperation" seems more appropriate as Biden's failures at that border are glaringly apparent.

Yes, Biden has made a mess of the border coming in on his first day in office and out of most likely spite ended all of Trump's immigration policies. I guess I see your point, he is reverting back to building the wall out of pure necessity due to being desperate.  He is one hoy mess.

Spite.  I like that word - nothing else seems appropriate for what he's done to Trumps accomplishments.

I didn't agree with all that Trump did, but there is zero doubt that some of it was good (and that includes the wall).  Didn't matter, though - it all has to go.

Hey Joe you are lying.  It is now evident immigrants are pouring in in historic numbers. But Joe says, no this is normal for this time of year.
This is a ploy Joe uses frequently --- say it, and it will become truth. One only needs to hark back to Joe's one-liner --- "We listen to  truth, not facts."

The numbers being encountered at the southern border during the Biden administration are not something that happens every year. Over 172,000 migrants were encountered in March, the highest number in nearly twenty years. While many were single adults, that number included 18,890 unaccompanied children -- a 100% increase from the already high numbers encountered in February, and the largest monthly number ever recorded.

It appears Biden does not recognize a huge problem or does he have the know-how to address problems.  COVID is now becoming a major problem due to not one new strain but four new strains..

Apr. 2, 2021, CDC ---  Not much media on these new variances.

B.1.1.7: This variant was first identified in the US in December 2020. It was initially detected in the UK. and is now 33% of cases in the US.

B.1.351: This variant was first identified in the US at the end of January 2021. It was initially detected in South Africa in December 2020.

P.1: This variant was first detected in the US in January 2021. P.1 was initially identified in travelers from Brazil, who were tested during routine screening at an airport in Japan, in early January.

B.1.427 and B.1.429: These two variants were first identified in California in February 2021 and were classified as VOCs in March 2021.

Where is Joe with his mask pep talk, and some info on how he will handle all these new variances?   He said he was going to have the country open by the end of April.  Looks like these worldwide new strains are becoming more of a spreader than the original COVID 19.

America is in trouble with no one at the White House.
