Has the Republican Party Turned into RINOs?

    I must argue that the Republican Party bears absolutely no resemblance to the Party of Lincoln from which they steal the name.- those that call themselves Republicans today (or in 1984) are truly Republican In Name Only (RINO).

    They hold very, very few of the values that Lincoln and other liberal members that Republicans did in 1860.  To list a few:

    - Today's RINOs don't believe in equal rights as Lincoln did.
    - Today's RINOs don't believe in civil rights as Lincoln did
    - Today's RINOs don't believe in free trade as Lincoln did
    - Today's RINOs believe in a weak or non-existent federal gov't while Lincoln believed in a strong federal gov't
    - Today's RINOs embrace the ideas of the Confederacy while Lincoln fought a war against it
    - Today's RINOs think terrorists, like the Proud Boys, are simply disgruntled Americans while Lincoln would have treated them as he did their founding organization, the KKK
    - Today's RINOs are the same type of people with the same belief systems that Lincoln defeated in 1860 - conservative Southern Democrats
    - Today's RINOs want a theocracy while Lincoln rejected that idea
    - Today's RINOs are anti-police (based on how they are treating the Capitol Police - actions speak louder than words)
    - Today's RINOs reject immigrants of all types while Lincoln welcomed them
    -

    The GREAT IRONY is that Lincoln went to war with the same type of Conservatives who rejected his election in 1860 that are rejecting Biden's election in 2020 - and largely over the same fundamental issue -- Black Civil Rights..

    To call today's RINOs Republican is very unfair to Abraham Lincoln.  Better names would be the Qanon Party or the Party of Trump,  anything but Republican.

    The Republican Party takes another nosedive with this trope from Trump Republican Rep Thomas Massie (R-TN). While criticizing Dr. Fauci and science he shared a picture of a giant hand squashing smaller people with a quote "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.", which the cartoon attributed to Voltaire.  The quote actually came from an American neo-Nazi terrorist convicted of child porn.
