   The Article's heading:
   "Navy is not ready for war because sailors are forced to focus on diversity training with officers blaming poor leadership for destruction of warship, two collisions and surrender of US boat to Iran, scathing report finds."
   
   Essentially that sums up the matter, is this an obvious sign of decay in readiness and combat capability?
   
   The report prepared by Marine Lt. Gen. Robert Schmidle and Rear Adm. Mark Montgomery, both retired, came in response to recent Naval disasters, including the burning of the USS Bonhomme Richard in San Diego, two collisions involving Navy ships in the Pacific and the surrender of two small craft to Iran.
   
   These are matters you may not have heard of.  America's myopic MSM coverage which focuses us on an incredible array of nonsense and fabricated crises, while the real incidents are buried or under reported, makes this most likely.
   
   The report found that a staggering 94 percent of the subjects believed the recent Naval disasters were 'part of a broader problem in Navy culture or leadership.'
   
   'I guarantee you every unit in the Navy is up to speed on their diversity training. I'm sorry that I can't say the same of their ship handling training,' said one recently retired senior enlisted leader.
   
   'Sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we'll survive a fight with the Chinese navy,' lamented one lieutenant currently on active duty.
   
   'It's criminal. They think my only value is as a black woman. But you cut our ship open with a missile and we'll all bleed the same color,' she added.
   
   'Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Apple, Google, whatever. All of these institutions of high performance and high excellence do circus flips trying to figure out how to cultivate and retain talent,' said one former naval officer who is now a senior leader at a major hedge fund's philanthropic arm. 'The Navy all but chases it out the door.'

      First, Thank you for posting a current bit of news.
      
      It well appears our navy is not up to par, and poorly equipt.  And is it not ridiculous they are worried about diversity. Some higher-ups in the Navy are more focused on diversity training than on preparing to take on adversaries such as China. Is this just another --- Oh well? My God what we must look like to the rest of the world. I for one am well done with all the BS diversity anything...  I have no more room for this BS. none!
      
      It would appear the Trump administration noted the decay. In Dec 2017 Trump got a bill passed to build the navy some new ships. He hoped in ten years to bring the fleet to 355 ships.       The Trump administration has said that reaching the 355-ship goal in 10 years is a top priority, but Congress sets the pace." ---  CONGRESS dropped the ball...
      
      We come nowhere close to China's fleet --- "In sum, China has a surface warship fleet of 121 vessels, a submarine fleet of 56 platforms, and another 341 coastal patrol ships. For its part, the United States Navy boasts a surface fleet of 11 aircraft carriers, 92 cruisers and destroyers, and 59 small surface combatants and combat logistics ships."

      Russia has  Approx. 606 ships.
      
      What the hell happened that we let fall so far behind? And many Americans are spending their time worrying about voting laws... Maybe soon we won't have the need for any if China moves in...   My God are we in trouble, and no one at the helm. Not funny any longer...

   I did see the headline this morning, but I didn't take the time to read it...maybe, deep down, I didn't want to! Similar to whether to turn on the News in the morning or not, but we can't hide from what's happening.
   We, as a once tight-knit and united Nation, must work together to get beyond politics and these ludicrous practices, which benefit no one individual, but do all individuals within this Country, as well as this Country itself...great harm!

      I would be interested in knowing if this was covered by any major "news" outlet... CNN, MSNBC, even FOX.
      
      I don't watch any cable news, occasionally a snippet on Youtube catches my eye, and watching it reminds me what garbage passes for 'news' in today's American MSM.
      
      Still, collisions of Naval ships and ships being captured by Iran should have been getting considerable coverage...

         Oh that's probably when we all stood to attention and Pledged Allegiance to the flag, girls were girls and men were men, didn't need a welfare state, everybody pulled his weight, those were the days.

         That’s the only way I, personally, remember the U.S., up until Barack Obama came into office, pretending we weren’t united, placing wedges to insure that we would not remain tight-knit, encouraging division and now…his faithful VP, dutifully carries on….

            Interesting perspective, one I hadn't personally observed, in that fashion.
            
            I saw Obama shift perspective from "America leads the World" to "America is just one of many Nations" and I saw the efforts to sabotage National authority/sovereignty on behalf of International institutions, such as the UN, WB, WTO, etc.
            
            But I also saw this as a continuation of what Bush Sr. began, his New World Order speech, efforts that were at first resisted but then continued by the Clintons and Bush Jr.
            
            Obama just took it to the next level, to the point where had Hillary Clinton been elected, we would already be much further along in our acquiescing our position on the world stage and in global economics than we currently are... she would have sewn up many of the things Obama had been forced to induce through Executive Order because there was not the support in Congress at that time (those pesky Americans voting in a wave of racist nationalist types, those Tea Party Republicans).. to forward those agendas any other way.
            
            This NEW divide and conquer effort may have indeed begun during Obama's Administration in reaction/response to the American movement, which was eventually labeled Tea Party (and racist) which then focused the country more and more on racial and sex orientation differences.
            
            And I give the Think Tanks that came up with this line of attack a lot of credit, they are able to corral more "guilty whites" with their means of attack than they could trying to bring the Hispanic communities into the fold.
            
            Not all Hispanic communities share that historical background of injustice here in America, so they don't buy into it, especially those who have escaped Communist/Socialist nations like Cuba or Venezuela, most of them see the threat of our current politics far better than most Americans.
            
            Hispanics that have come here to benefit from the Capitalist system, where hard work and bright ideas can turn a person without a penny to their name into a millionaire, are never going to buy into the current Social Justice rhetoric.

      Now you are playing mind games, AB. I was not so young as to not to remember the introduction of All in the Family in January, 1971 nor its controversial nature at the time.
      
      "Don't we wish we had a guy like Herbert Hoover again"? That is what Archie said.  Do you want to go back to America of 1929. Do you really think that we were all on the same page and so harmonious then?

         There are many, many, many t.v. programs that have come and gone or that have stuck around, that I do not agree with, don’t approve of, don’t find funny or entertaining, so, I do not watch. It is such a simple fix. I have the power to turn it off or change the channel.
         
         I specifically stated, during my lifetime, we have been a tight-knit, united Nation, up until Obama.
