Is Biden Phone Call an Impeachable Offense?

President Donald Trump was forced to endure a bogus impeachment because of a phone call.  The Democrats are now showing their hypocrisy and double standards.  It appears biden told the president of Afghanistan to lie about the reality of the Taliban.  There is no doubt Biden tried to influence a world leader to lie to protect himself.  Is this an impeachable offense?  I believe it is, I don't think the Democrats will do anything about it, but I believe this is impeachable, based on the standards set forth by Democrats.

The two discussed “military aid, political strategy and messaging” for approximately 14 minutes, Reuters reported on Tuesday after reviewing what it said was a transcript and audio of the exchange provided by an anonymous source.

One particular aspect of the leaked transcript appears especially damning for Biden, as the New York Post pointed out.

The Post noted the transcript shows Biden “pressured” Ghani to “‘create the perception’ that the Taliban weren’t winning, ‘whether it is true or not.'”

“I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said during the call, according to Reuters.

“And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”

Biden’s pressuring went a step further, however, according to Reuters.

If Ghani could successfully fool the public into thinking the Afghan government had plans to control what Reuters called the “spiraling situation” of the Taliban’s resurgence, Biden would offer aid."

If the phone call is real, and misleading a sovereign state, or giving a false sense of security is wrong. Biden should face the music.

Let me count the ways--- This man has done nothing but lie to us in respect to the withdrawal, what he knew when, and more. Did he lie due to his confused state or just blatantly lie time and time again for political reasons? If either is true, he needs to resign or be impeached.

This mess needs to investigate immediately...   If we the people put up with this kind of crap we deserve our fate.

What more will it take to make people realize their mistakes in electing this man? A man incapable of even deciding who and when he will take questions from.  What the hell kind of president is this?  It infuriates me that there is any doubt this man should be immediately removed from office. What has our society become? My God

Pretty false equivalency there.  An impeachment for demanding the creation a fake investigation of your political rival heading into an election by leveraging aid to a country on the brink of war was more about protecting the sanctity of our elections.

Your allegations were proven wrong by the US Senate.

Except that Trump didn't demand the creation of an investigation into a rival.

That was as false and fabricated a charge as his being a Russian conspirator.

Biden's failings are becoming harder to hide by the day.

He has done so much, in so short a time, that I was able to type up a Hub in no time laying out a half dozen examples of his inspiring leadership,

"President Biden 9 months In" ... you should check it out Val, you'll probably love it.

Trump would have been impeached for such and republicans would have voted for such an impeachment.

The American people are seeing the true colors of their Democratic leadership and the picture is not pretty.

I don't believe the American people are, I think things like this phone call are being hidden from the American people to a large degree.

Where something like this would have been headline news for days or even weeks, if it were Trump, with Biden they will bury it fast.

Biden is the Stooge for Corporate cronyism, DC corruption, and Establishment Elitism... he wasn't chosen by a populist movement or the people, he was thrust upon America by the DNC and their billionaire backers.

No doubt about that. It's a bad omen. God save America!

I don’t believe the posters on this site, who react to every Biden misstep with a ‘yeah but Trump’ response are indicative of the average American. Online is the only place their ridiculous arguments will fly.
