Biden claims that most migrants are being quickly expelled. However, this is just not true.

Many Haitian migrants in Del Rio are being released in the United States, according to two U.S. officials, undercutting the Biden administration’s public statements that the thousands in the camp faced immediate expulsion to Haiti.

Haitians have been freed on a “very, very large scale” in recent days, one official said Tuesday. The official, who was not authorized to discuss the matter and thus spoke on condition of anonymity, put the figure in the thousands.

Many have been released with notices to appear at an immigration office within 60 days, an outcome that requires less processing time from Border Patrol agents than ordering an appearance in immigration court and points to the speed at which authorities are moving.

The question is how many migrants are being released into the US?

Homeland Security Secretary Alexandro Mayorkas complained that he worked 18 hours a day for the second day in a row when asked that very question, he failed to provide accurate information on the number of immigrants being processed in the U.S. and where they are actually going.

During a virtual hearing with the House Homeland Security Committee, R-Fla State spokesman Carlos Gimenez asked Mayorkas to provide the information he asked for in the Senate session the day before."  He gave the same reply -- I am working 18 hours a day.   https://acesparks.com/the-mallors-met-w … urs-a-day/

It appears no one is willing to provide the numbers on how many migrants are being released. However, it is being reported by the Homeland Security Department that Haitian migrants are being sent by buses from Del Rio to El Paso, Laredo, and Rio Grande Valley along the Texas border, and in the past days they have added flights to Tucson, Arizona. The migrants are processed by the Border Patrol at those locations and either deported or let free with an NTR.

So at this point, the migrant is free to travel around the country unfettered. The migrants are not tested for COVID unless they have symptoms or are they vaccinated for COVID.  Biden told us the migrant influx would slow down due to the season --- Hate to see what the winter brings.

Once again another Biden carnival shell game...  Under shell one,  catch and release, under shell two, catch and release,  can you guess what you will find under the third shell?

Every day we witness more and more incompetence from the Biden administration, not to mention Biden's odd behavior, and the fact that he is clearly forbidden to speak with the press...  This man can't problem-solve... The country is literally in a downward spiral.

Is it time not time to shut the big top-down?  Thoughts

Do you not believe that some of these people from Haiti have legitimate asylum claims?

Some clearly do not as they have been flown back to Haiti by the US government.

So, in other words, the government is determining who has a claim and following the law in giving them a notice to appear and plead their case.  Only in Trump world is following the actual United States laws referred to as a circus.

      Thank you for your comment

Yes, in my view not only some, but many Haitians have good reasons to request asylum. We both know the problems that have occurred. Such as Environmental issues, food insecurity, and a very corrupt Government.

We have immigration laws, we also have a cap on the number of people we allow in regard to permanent asylum.

"At the beginning of each fiscal year, the president, in consultation with Congress, sets a cap on the number of refugees to be accepted from five global regions, as well as an unallocated reserve to be used if a country goes to war or more refugees need to be admitted regionally. In the case of an unforeseen emergency, the total and regional allocations may be adjusted."  https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article … on-ceiling

I believe Biden set his number at 125,000. Which is very much his right, and that number does not at all seem out of line. The problem we have had so many encounters at the border, it would be almost impossible to keep up with ascertaining who has a true asylum claim. One could argue we need no number, and should not have a cap. But we do, and if Congress wants to change it or just open the borders they need to act on it. I would hope we just follow the laws we have.

It appears at this point people are being deported and returned to Haiti. However, we are awaiting the number of how many have been given NTR's, and left to enter America, and perhaps disappear. The other problem, we have a COVID epidemic. Is it wise not to at best test and vaccinate anyone given an NTR?  This administration has placed mandates on a certain part of our own society to make an attempt to stop COVID spread. Biden still won't totally open our Canadian borders due to COVID. Would testing and vaccinating those that want asylum not be a true problem solver?  This is where I have a problem with the Biden administration's ability to make sound decisions.  We have been battling COVID for almost two years. The president ran on his promise to rid us of COVID, this is pretty much all the addresses when he has stepped in front of a podium.  So, it would appear he has ignored a very serious problem... Letting thousands into America could certainly increase the spread of COVID.

I don't have a problem with following our asylum laws, we clearly have jobs to fill and lots of opportunities to offer immigrants.  I have had a complaint with this administration for not attempting to follow our own laws for many months now.

In regards to the Trump administration and how many he admitted

"In addition to accepting refugees for resettlement, the United States also grants humanitarian protection to asylum seekers who present themselves at U.S. ports of entry or claim asylum from within the country. In FY 2019 (the most recent data available), the United States granted asylum status to about 46,500 individuals, the HIGHEST  level in decades, due in part to increased asylum applications and the accelerating pace of adjudications."

One COVID hit fewer asylum seekers were admitted.

I realize we as a rule look differently at what we consider problems. This comment is just my view, and I offered how I came to my view.

Some clearly do not as they have been flown back to Haiti by the US government.

Mayorkas said some would be subject to “expedited removal” in which the U.S. quickly deports low-level immigration offenders. But most he said would be expelled under Title 42, which he was careful to portray as a public health measure.

The Department of Homeland Security is invoking the public health law known as Title 42 to quickly take Haitians into custody and fly them back to their troubled homeland, denying them an opportunity to make a claim to stay in the U.S. by seeking asylum.

The Biden administration halted the Trump-era practice of expelling unaccompanied children into Mexico, and has allowed some migrants traveling with their children to stay in the U.S. to pursue asylum claims or other legal residency. But it has expelled tens of thousands of adults and families under Title 42, insisting it's a public health measure and not an immigration policy.
