I have to give it to President Donald Trump.  If you ban him from Twitter, he goes out and starts a social media platform like Twitter.

In the free-market world competition is a good thing.  It means Twitter will have to change to be competitive.

Donald Trump’s new media venture plans to launch its social media app Truth Social on 21 February, according to an Apple Inc App Store listing.

Truth Social, the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) alternative to Twitter, is available for pre-order before going live on the US Presidents’ Day holiday.

Similar to Twitter, the app offers features to follow other people and trending topics, according to demo photos.

The app’s launch would come 13 months after Meta Platforms Inc’s Facebook and Twitter banned the former US president...

TMTG is currently valued at $4.3bn based on the stock price of Digital World Acquisition Corp. TMTG agreed in October to merge with the blank-check firm at a valuation of $875m.

Trump supporters and retail investors have snapped up Digital World’s stock, betting that Trump’s popularity with his Republican political base will translate into commercial runaway success."

It's a welcome development. I can't wait to register come February when it streams online.

President Donald Trump will always anger those on the left because they can't stop him.  They told huge and blatant lies about him when he was in office, and he kept going.  They had two ridiculous impeachments and he kept going.  They kicked him off of social media, and he starts his own social media platform.  He keeps going.  I think that is what makes the left so angry.  They've not figured out a way to stop him or keep him from succeeding.  Maybe it's why Republicans like him so much.

Mike, I agree with you. Thanks for informing. I hope when the social media goes live, you'll post a feedback.
