If Trump had a crystal ball which showed he might (somehow) start a civil war here in the good ol' USA, would/should he decide not to run?

    - wondering.

I say step aside and let Pence or DeSantis have a shot. Why would he want to continue to endure and inflict all the misery which will surely follow if he gets back in the race? The future is really up to him!  What is on the horizon, if he reemerges? Unfair, rigged elections, vicious skirmishes from the left, hatred from the left and right, citizens, weary from all the discord, children and pets, confused and upset with their shouting parents and country!

(Assuming, of course, that he is elected in the primary.)

Both have more than a shot, both would support MAGA, and I feel Trump would support either. The Democrats will not stop tormenting Trump, this is well proven. So, yes I would vote for Trump if he runs, I think he was a good president. But I fear the continued chaos that would come with Trump having 4 more years. We need to save the best of his agenda, and move on.

I mean, it could be a very peaceful election with the Republicans winning.
            Easily ...

Are you backing the slate of
Trump approved candidates in your own state? Regardless of their wackadoodle ideas?

I will be totally honest ---

I am backing any Republican that is on the ticket period. I want Democrats sent packing. I am not willing to see America move into socialism. And have watched it quickly decline under a Democratic White House, and Congress.

Republicans could run a well-groomed poodle and those
dogs got my vote.  I feel and have made it clear, that I feel Democrats in Washington are generally corrupt, and I have no respect for most liberal ideologies. Just Zero respect.

With that attitude are you not surprised that I take the same view regarding Republican, rightwing/conservative ideas and ideologies, and you can understand why I would support Bugs Bunny for public office over a Republican. Just opposite sides of the same mirror.

Hey, you have made that precise many times. I am just now confessing that I will vote straight ticket Republican. This will be a first for me.

I think the time is over, for skirting our views.

        - this scenario will occur with any Republican president, I fear. neutral

and its not the fault of the Republicans ... (except for the do nothing Republicans in congress that threw Trump under the bus such as Mitt R. and Liz C.)

That's very terrible, Kathryn. Yea, if Trump had the mind to come a second time, man come on.                                    Trump's personalty, or call it ego, knows no pain. He's seems to absorbed all negatives thrown at him. A man who withstand 2 impeachments respective...

I think if Trump really felt his running might cause a civil war, he should not run. He should put the safety of democracy first, and he should support a Republican that will respect his supporters, and run on MAGA policies.

He has several that would do just that, and the majority of republicans would vote for such a candidate. He could certainly bring his supporters over to vote for such a candidate. We need a strong party, not a split party.

We need to come together to get a Republican backing the WH. We do not need to support our party, and not cut our noses off to spite our faces. As some did in the last election. Look how that worked out last time around.

I even wonder if it was Trump who brought on the ire of China and the consequence of unleashing the bio weapon ...
or is that a ridiculous notion.

Also,Trump could have done something much sooner than Jan 6, about the voting fraud situation, brought on mostly by the actions of Zuckerberg,
but he did not. The movie "Rigged" explains Zuckerberg's role in the widespread, nationwide fraud. Ballot drop-off boxes for all? Really?

At this point in time, I believe We need Donald Trump for President of the United States, our Democratic Republic, who understands the value of freedom and the power of the individual living his own best life.

He will promote Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness
... within common sense and God-given boundaries.
