   I agree with you Carolyn. I have never liked the concept, though it may have had its place in the war years etc.
   The state of Queensland, Australia where I live has never introduced it, though most other states have. We have had a number of referendums over the years but the people here always vote against its introduction.

      Very interesting and informative article, Carolyn. Pakistan (my home country) has experimented with Daylight Saving Time several times since 2002, with the most recent change occurred in November 2009. The government cabinet decided to do so "to make the best use of daylight and save energy." However, it was later discontinued because many people did not find it very useful. However, in Spain (where I live now), DST begins on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October. I just like it when the clocks go back an hour because it makes me feel like I have an extra hour on earth to live. Lol! But when it goes one hour ahead, I'm like, Oh! Someone snatched that hour from me once again. Thank you so much for sharing.

      Nice article about the Daylight Saving Time. I found it interesting and knew more about it.
      This is not applicable in India, but I am aware about it, since many of my relatives live in such places, where it’s observed.
      An interesting and insightful read. Thank you John, for sharing this in the forum.

   Thanks John for posting Carolyn's article about the efficacy of using Daylight Saving Time.  I agree with her that it no longer makes sense.  I also hate losing that hour each year!  It does take a toll on our bodies.
