I read All Sides a lot for gathering information on political stuff as they will make recommendations from the left, right, and independent media forms. I noticed this morning they are having an interesting kinda' experiment where one can participate in a video discussion.

    Intro announcement

On April 21st & 23rd, thousands of Americans will match with those who have different backgrounds and beliefs from all corners of the country to connect face-to-face on video. Each conversation will provide a repairing stitch to America’s frayed social fabric, as participants shift perspective from “us versus them” to “you and me.”

We sometimes get to that point here, just without the video.  More often than not though, it's more hammering away at each with sledgehammers.

Across the Pond here things tend to go lopsided, with several camps trying to tear discussion to shreds. It's either 1. Ukraine, 2. Ukraine, 3. refugees or 4. Extinction Rebellion, with horsedrawn carts being the transport of choice. Democracy? Don't make me laugh. Westminster's a talk shop, everybody jumping on the old bandwagon to creaking point about Bojo (Boris Johnson) and his Lockdown Party. Everything else is 'cringe to fringe' (beginning to look like Germany in the 30's, loudest voice gets the microphone but doesn't really need it, it's a megaphone that's wanted: "I'm right and you're wrong" (that's everybody else except the ones that agree with them, superglued to the lamp posts or railings outside Westminster).

Seems so, yet that is the fun of it is it not? Yet, I have learned a lot from the forums here including the politics/social issue one here. A lot!!! Maybe too much ha-ha

I thought maybe an adventure stepping out of one's comfort zone seeking individual growth might be interesting or not. But, being a believer in opportunity why not present one anyway.
