   A New York judge held former president Donald Trump in contempt on Monday over his lack of response to a subpoena from the state's attorney general and ordered him to pay $10,000 a day in fines until he complies.
   
   Attorney General Letitia James sought the contempt order earlier this month, saying Trump was not following a previous order to turn over documents in a civil investigation. The AG's office has said there is "significant" evidence the Trump Organization misstated asset values for years.
   
   James' 26-page contempt motion alleged that Trump did not comply with a court-ordered March 31 deadline to turn over documents, instead submitting objections to the various requests and saying he would not turn over any materials.
   
   Trump has been fighting the attorney general's subpoena, and his company, the Trump Organization, has repeatedly said it was complying with various orders to turn over materials.

   "Former President Donald Trump claims that New York Attorney General Letitia James’ bid to hold him in contempt is “little more than a contrived publicity stunt” — and that he has no documents to turn over in her probe of his business dealings, new court papers show.
   
   Earlier this month, James asked a judge to hold the ex-president in contempt for allegedly refusing to comply with a court order to turn over documents in her investigation of the Trump Organization.
   
   But Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba fired back in a filing late Tuesday, claiming that her client “was not in possession of any documents responsive to the subpoena.”
   
   “All potentially responsive documents were in possession, custody or control of the Trump Organization,” Habba added.
   
   The attorney said that James’ subpoena specifically instructed that Trump didn’t need to hand over documents that his company had already submitted to the AG’s office.
   
   But instead of attempting to resolve any outstanding issues directly between the lawyers, the AG’s office issued a press release about its contempt motion, Habba noted.
   
   James’ office also rebuffed attempts by Habba “to engage in good-faith discussions to address the issues at hand – going so far as to refuse respondent’s counsel’s request for a simple phone call,” the filing
   
   Habba said the contempt motion, “appears to be little more than a contrived publicity stunt.”
   
   James launched an investigation into the Trump Organization in 2019 following Congressional testimony from Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen that the then-president exaggerated company assets to get an edge in loan applications, on taxes and for insurance purposes.
   
   Then in 2020, the AG filed suit against the company and Eric Trump alleging they were stonewalling the probe. James then recently added Trump and kids Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. to the suit and is seeking testimony from them.
   
   The family trio is appealing the subpoenas for their testimony.
   
   The AG’s office declined to comment."

      The AG is an activist who has been going after Trump for imagined reasons since she entered office, same as everyone else. Above is a 2019 clip about her. Thus far, she has found nothing on Trump. Her imposition of a fine is pure harassment.
      
      I am amazed at Trump's fortitude. The haters never let up, even to this day. Meanwhile, Biden is destroying this country one pen swipe at a time and getting away with it...
      
      Hopefully, November will provide this country with a small reprieve from the injustices imposed upon Americans by this administration.

         In my view she is totally harassing Trump, thinking it would be a huge political feather in her cap. It does not surprise me, that many Democrats fine Trump-bashing will give them a legup. I feel this kind of harassment cut them off at the knees, in today's climate. I think many that voted for Biden are feeling the pain of all the problems that we are now having.
         I look at the pile of problems as a plus at this point. The pain will bring us that have faith gain.
         
         In my view,  Letta will be one in a long line that harassed this man to end up with egg on her face. The line gets longer daily.
         
         I agree, Trump has great fortitude, not sure how he has kept his cool through all of it. And yes, Biden has ripped the country down in record time.  I don't think he will get away with it.
         
         I have good faith and feel we will see a good sweep in November, and at that point just stop Biden cold. until 2024.  I hope that they impeach him, I truely feel he has cognitive problems that are getting worse.

            I agree that the AG will end up with egg on her face. As for November 2022, even Democrats are predicting  a negative turn out for their Party. But I do worry about 2024. I believe Biden will cheat. That is the reason the borders are wide open. JB is garnering constituents, whether their vote is legal or not. 1.5 million illegals  have entered our country thus far and Biden clearly has plenty of time to bring in many more.
            
            The cartels now own our border. Drug and sex trafficking have exploded. Speaking of which, my heart is broken for the young border officer who drowned trying to rescue migrants who turned out to be drug traffickers. His family must be devastated and angry, as they should be.
            
            Has Biden say one word about that? Did he express his sorrow? Not so far. Maybe never. Just like when Afghani’s were falling from a moving plane in a futile attempt to escape Taliban rule. When asked about it, Joe said dismissively, Oh that was four, five days ago.” In fact it was two days, but that isn’t the point. Most normal, feeling people know that.

               I do have the same fears for 2024, it would seem by opening the borders the day he walked into the office had some purpose.  I   think the fuse the Dems were making over some states changing some voting laws did not take as they hoped it would, and many states where problems seem to occur have initiated better voting rules, to prevent fraud, 
               
               The border is a mess and will be getting worse. I too feel so bad for the young man that gave his life to save two criminals.  Can't imagine what his loved ones are going through. And no I have not heard Biden give any form of condolences, or has he apologized to the border patrolmen that were on horseback that he claimed were "lashing " migrants...
               
               I am not sure if he is being dismissive or just confused about what is going on around him. I doubt if he would remember what went on four or five days ago.
               
               We need to keep the faith...  I think we are in for a bumpy ride.  But hey, we have made it through the last year, we can make it through a couple more.

                  We have made it through, although this sorrow we feel is nothing compared to the horror which may become a daily existence throughout most of the world. 
                  
                  Sharlee, I appreciate your faith. Mine fails me, but I try. Perhaps this generation will be spared. If not, we can only pray to stand strong.
                  As for Biden, it is not a thing of not remembering, per se. He has been calloused since his days as a senator.

                     Yes, Biden really does have a history that should have made many very leary of his motives. he is a man that in my view jumps on others' coattails. And will say what the day demands him to say --- a phony human being.
                     
                     He is a callous man, as proven by blaming the death of his wife on a man that was at no fault whatsoever.  In my view, he has been bought and paid for by several people, Whoever puts the most cash up. I THINK the Hunter investigation just may prove this.   The documents thus far provided certainly are revealing.

                     Biden’s own daughter said her father is controlling and manipulative. She has suffered from drug addiction and has had multiple affairs. Same with Hunter Biden. There are serious underlying issues in the Biden family. I personally believe Biden is a narcissist. Narcissists are dismissive and calloused.
                     He has not said anything about or visited the family of the brave young man because he does not care.

                           Biden does not deserve pity. He is an arrogant man who has zero wisdom. Better to pity the country. The good news is that much of the madness he has tried to implement has been struck down by the courts. Nevertheless, Biden is still harming this country.

                     I can only offer my view on why Biden does not visit or at best call the parents of this man that showed himself to be a hero.
                     
                     There could be several reasons --- Biden is a man that could care little about anyone but himself, and what benefits him, and possibly his despicable family.  He is a man that is confused and may not even know about this hero's death.
                     
                     Those that pull his stings most likely are having problems keeping him appropriate verbally. So who knows what he might say if he called these grieving parents. It is best to keep him on a script.
                     
                     He is a man that has left a trail of torched ground throughout his life.
