    https://news.yahoo.com/candidates-test- … 50804.html

Sounds kinda "yellow" to me, through and through. The articles speaks of this strategy in use by candidates for the House and Senate all with the GOP label with the noted exception of one example as a Democrat. But, the DNC did not set the trend toward this unfortunate development.

I expect those that want my vote to be willing to present themselves on broadcast media and be willing to explain their platform and views. Otherwise, I am going to believe that they are hiding something. Are they afraid, are they elitist to assume that they have no obligation to engage with potential voters that are outside of their fawning cliques?

Are they blaming the so called liberal media for their fears of a lack of answers or proper preparation?  I am getting that impression.

Just another nail in their coffin as far as I am concerned.

    Just a thought..........

I enjoy debates, it tells me a lot about a candidate. I also like a candidate that comes to the people, it can offer a closer look at a candidate, and see them at a more relaxed fun venue. I would be disappointed if I could not see the two candidates on the same stage.

I like them as well as non scripted and I can see the candidates make pro and con of their positions and have to defend them in the face of an adverse opponent. Then, I can measure the mettle of each..

        Thanks for your attention....

LOL  Can you possibly believe that a politician is going to say something, in a debate or not, that will hurt their chances of being elected?  Can you possibly believe that their comments (and position) will not change according to the people they are addressing?  Can you possibly believe that the promises they make, whether their basic stance on an issue or not, will not float with the political winds?

If so, you are living in an imaginary land of truth and honesty from your politicians, not reality.

All the same, in an environment or forum with arbitrary  opponents,  dishonesty and shortcomings are more likely to be revealed then by my taking any politician's words, unchallenged.
