Is the Democratic Party good for America?  Why?  Why not?

That would depend on whether you want a nation of children, forever dependent of the Great Father in Washington, or a nation of adults, responsible for themselves and willing to shoulder that responsibility.

Yes, the Democratic Party is the party of big, intrusive government.  You are so correct in your premise.  I, for one, want FAR LESS government.

Its entropy and equilibrium are at play between the two parties each a separate system with entropy. The Constitution set up one system with its entropy. To explain peek at the next link.

No, the Democratic party is not good for America. . America is the strongest, most diverse country in the world. Our nation's freedoms offer citizens opportunities to strive if one has the mind to. We also have safety nets for those that don't have the ability to work and produce for our society. The Democrats appear to be ripping at the fabric we have woven over hundreds of years. We are a young country, and where we can go is boundless. But the Democratic party, in my view, is dangerous and seeks power over the people. And they are doing so in the most unscrupulous ways.

I am not sure why anyone would want to be dependent on Government, it is something I can't comprehend.

I like progress, not stagnation and dependency. I appreciate superior education, to dumbing down our youth, and producing adults that need to be told what to do, versus growing into adults that know what to do...

I like strength versus weakness in all facets of life.

Thank you, IMO more of us need to speak up about the Democratic party, and how it is making all attempts to ruin America as we know it. Many of us are proud of and very satisfied with the country's progress. I for one am not willing to be taken backward due to an out-of-control political party, that seeks ultimate power.  We have reached a time when we as Americans need to think long and hard about what direction we want the country to head.

Are you insinuating that Democrats would like to take us back to the power structure of 17th century Britain, wherein a few had absolute control over everything, including what would become the US?  Just change the name from England to the US and install party leaders?

I agree with you - not a good idea.

Sure, why not? There can not be any righteousness unless there is wickedness, right?

If your reference is to tsmog's righteousness and wickedness, they are dichotomies of the same whole, so the statement seems right to me. The timing of its insertion also seemed right—a double-hitter that gets a ^5.

It's not just the Democrats, it's DC.
The two party system has been a farce for decades.

Just be glad we aren't Europe, and there is an ocean between us and our meddling in Ukraine, Syria, Libya, etc.

Those poor bastards in the EU will be paying the price for our "Democracy Building" for decades to come. They haven't even begun to deal with the consequences, they think they had to struggle this winter with inflation, just wait.
