    Firstly, Forbes on June 4, says;

    "The outcome of the presidential election likely hinges on six purple states President Joe Biden won in 2020—but he trails former President Donald Trump in all of them, according to RealClearPolitics’ polling averages, with less than six months before the November general election."

    Trump-Biden 2024 Polls: Here’s Who’s Winning In The 6 States That Will Decide The Election by Forbes (Jun 4, 2024)

    Key to swing states is swing voters. Makes sense right? Maybe not. Is it worth knowing about swing voters. If curious the following study conducted from Apr 19 - May 4 offers insight into swing voters.

    Measuring the Swing: Evaluating the Key Voters of 2024 by Data for Progress (May 30, 2024)
    https://www.dataforprogress.org/insight … rs-of-2024

    It is a lengthy report plum full of graphics worthy of peek. The key takeaways are:

    ** The swing voters of the 2024 election are younger and more diverse than the composition of the overall 2024 likely voter population.

    ** Swing voters reject ideological and partisan labels.

    ** Swing voters broadly lean left on government spending, taxes on the wealthy, and social equity.

    ** Swing voters are politically disengaged.

    ** Swing voters slightly prefer Trump over Biden in a race between the two candidates, but many are unsure and defect to third-party candidates.

    ** Their focus is on the economy.

    ** Swing voters say they want Biden to take more action — not less.

    ** Swing voters’ main concern is Biden’s age and ability to handle the job — not his ideology.

    ** That said, swing voters are more concerned about Trump’s criminal charges and threats to democracy (48%) than Biden’s age and mental and physical health (41%).

    ** Swing voters trust Trump more than Biden on the economy, immigration, and foreign policy.

    ** There is no evidence that a rightward ideological pivot would solve Biden’s problems with swing voters.
